I turned two in once. One was drilled but still had the flash pin in it. The other was the real deal. I just called 911 and they said an officer will be there. Three fire trucks, an ambulance and like 25 cops later they removed it. They gave me the ammo box back that I found them in but I would never knowingly take them anywhere. What a dumbass!

During a weapons amnesty in Sweden (you can handover illegal weapons to the police and wont be prosecuted) One man came in to the police station and and left two plastic bags. They contained several live grenades, a number of illegal firearms including a full auto SMG and several pounds of dynamite.

The man was jailed because the police decided that the amnesty did not apply to explosives other then ammo.

"live grenades". Firstly, a grenade is an explosive device. An inanimate object. It can not be alive. In regard to functionality, it either works or it does not work.

It was good for the man to turn in the explosive munitions to the police.

Charges against the civilian for turning in explosive munitions? You should be patting him on the back. He could of sold them to gangs or drug cartels.

Also, why tape off the police station. This is ridiculous!!!

firstly, it's an ordnance, not a device. secondly, ordnances with explosives are considered "live". without explosives, they are called "inert".

I once organized an hazard drill for a Government contractor. Make believe injuries, chaos etc. During this drill there was a forklift parked within the perimeter of the excersise. It was forks down not running key in ignition. One of the University educated Safety Engineers hurried over to me to suggest we remove the ignition key from the lift. He insisted it could inadvertently start and injure someone. 4 years of education wasted. You can lead a fool to school, but you can't make them think
