The Bill was definately at it's best in the 90s. I was only about 7 or something when I started watching it lol. I remember watching the omnibus on UK Gold, and then starting to watch the 'new' episodes on STV at 8 oclock. It's a shadow of it's former self now, with all these 'pretty boys' and the hollyoaks rejects. At least back then you could believe the likes of Reg, Tony & June could be real police officers, the idiots on it now would get laughed at if they tried to arrest you.

I think you are on about a very similar set of titles that were introduced in the 90s. Those ones had the car charging towards the camera with the flashing blue light, but the blue light was one of those where its square shaped and has one on either side.

I've been trying to find it for ages as well.

I think what he means is that it's unusual to see any ITV programme with it's frontcap broadcast in 1988, as frontcaps were scrapped due to Thatcher's White Paper.
