  • This is my first time hearing this song, and I instantly like it. Their hairstyles are pretty funky, but hey, even I crimped my hair in the 80's! It seemed like no matter what gender you were, you were doing that or teasing it to death or getting a jheri curl!

  • I never get tired ov this track--

I owned this on cassette when it was freash--

and I was fortunate to come across it on CD around 1995

    Karl Hyde is the shit

  • Awesome - just listen to them rock at 5.20 - 6.36 Where can I get the track downloaded so I can play it LOUD?

  • This is simptomatic it seems, almost every band that plays bullshit music these days did awesome music in the '80s, the story of my life, born to late, wrong place wrong time, pitty, i hope one day this kind of music will return. This is evergreen stuff!

  • big music!! thx for that live kabongpope

  • Wow. Can't believe one of the greatest EDM bands of all time started out like this.

  • @KolomparPista yeah, but you can here the electronic roots in the music

  • Thanks so much for uploading this! I saw them at the Marquee around this time, but not sure if this was the gig - the layout's the same. If so it got so packed that I ended up sat on the edge of the stage leaning on a small guitar combo, looking up at the drummer - who inspired me for onstage shenanigans on tour a few years later. Awesome!

Anyone know when their last gig at the Marquee was? That was a doozy.

  • amazing track.

  • i have the album from 1984. It´s called " doot doot". Very good

  • Nice sound. But the drummer works way too hard for the low level of difficulty of this song.

  • Why do you say that like it's a bad thing? He's getting into the song and you'd wish that amount of enthusiasm was displayed today...

  • You're right. Enthusiasm is good. And it's probably just his style. My own preferred drumming style is way more reserved (e.g. Charlie Watts). But then again I'm not into stage presence.

  • I went to this gig. Brilliant album for listening to in a car while driving around a european city at night.

  • I may very wll have been in the audience for this! Marquee Club? 1984(ish)? Top, top band!!!

  • an unholy cross between duran, ultravox and japan. but entertaining!

  • Karl, you look better wearing your jeans and your superstars :)

  • thanks for uploading this song, my favourite since I heard it from 87

  • thanks for uploading this song, my favourite since I have heard it from 87

  • I want to know what happened to the drummer. He seemed really good.

  • he composes jingles for local welsh radio and often appears in the background of "the rovers return"

  • REALLY. How odd. Thanks for the information :)

  • what about hoover the moover ? can't find it newhere....sob ! lol

  • Do you mean "You're A Hoover" or "Tender Surrender" which had the lyrics with "Hoover the mover"

  • I love this.

  • an anthem to truckers!

  • are you kidding? Riders in the night for truckers? Dude I love the song but I dont think its about truckers, Riders in the night think about it

  • Yeah, I know, its about homosexuality... Who gives a shit?

  • No you are thinking of Rump Riders of the Night.

  • How can such a bizarre song sound so cool?

  • Because it's made by Freur!

  • Was the b-side of the 'Doot Doot' single over here, if I remember correctly; just as fascinating. Great to at last see this live, thanx;-)

  • cool band awesome sounds!

  • Oh, and when Karl says "What it is to be fashionable these days..."

Hilarious, and great to know he wasn't taking himself too seriously.

  • Man this is awesome!!!

I never thought I'd be seeing a Freur concert up on Youtube. I thought these guys were way too obscure.

  • I cant Find this song on Limewire or Itunes!!!!

  • When you seek this album, no problem. Call me !!!

  • My favorite Freur song, awesome stuff! They were before their time. I dont know how this song didnt chart

  • love the smile! amazing show & music:)

  • Makes me think of early Icehouse. Clearly Eno influenced - outfits and all. It's amazing how far Underworld have come. Thanks for the post!

  • Woot go Freur 80s Synth pop FTW!

  • This song's really cool

  • people slept on this cause it's worth lisening to

  • I wish they would release the old stuff in a box set. I only have Doot-Doot, not the other LP or anything else. Is there a fansite?

  • Saw them on French TV in 1983/84.

The group was AWESOME both in performance & look.

Bought the 2 LPs they made and still love this 1st version of Underworld.

  • this is tecno dream music if ya ask me,why cant we return to these days? good times, good sounds,no big heads here

  • love it...got it on tape...memories and fun ...i was young then...awesome
