@AlexRGravlin Nah, I'm pretty sure I've got it narrowed down to the serp. belt and/or the tensioner. So I'm just going to replace both. It's around a $70 repair. I spend money every other weekend on this car. Wish I had a Mustang. I miss my Ford... :(
@AlexRGravlin Don't. For the love of all that is pure and holy, don't. Get a truck... or a motorcycle unless you have the tools/knowledge/money to fix a small foreign car.
@AlexRGravlin Reliable maybe for a while. Then when you have to work on a GTI engine, good luck - it's transverse most-likely. And parts are WAAAY overpriced.
I think maybe your misaligned conflogulator is sending irregular antimodulogitations though the retrodismanulation coil. Have you checked that?

@icer22x Nope, it's the conflogulator and the retrodismanulator. I'm sorry that you're a noob and don't know anything about cars.

@AlexRGravlin Crap. How much is that part?

Huh, I was thinking of buying a Volkswagen, too.

@icer22x From what I've been reading, the Mk5 and Mk6 GTI is one of the most reliable cars on the road.
