I think there was some misalignment of the plastic insert and maybe some small obstruction that was just enough to restrict the flow. In the end they sent me another bowl and it works just fine now.

A piece of the plastic mechanism broke and the flushing mech quit working.

(like the wax ring)? Cuz i heard of the wax ring getting in the way and messing up the flush power.

The champion bowl is one of the better ones around. 2 3/8"trapway, nice trap shape. The tower type flush valve however, leaves alot to be desired.
