lol, I loved the way they yelled Variety-ayy!! Colbert's so talented, he deserves to be the one to break TDS's winning streak. At least TDS's win this year will make it so much sweeter when he finally does win it. Then the student will have truly "surpassed the master"! Both shows are awesome, though.

Watching Jimmy Fallon's pathetic, phoned in performance at the emmys just makes me miss Conan more. Remember how witty and sharp his emmy hosting was? I guess he'll never get to do it again now. Thank goodness he is getting a show in November for those of us who like sharp wit.Jimmy Fallon is like an over eager dorky kid brother that isn't smart enough to act like an adult host. Go back to the mtv awards.TEAM COCO!!

Given it was the biggest entertainment story of the year, or at least definitely the biggest television story of the year, you'd think they'd touch on the Conan/Leno thing a little more at the Emmys. The Year in Variety should include far more references to it than this did. In fact I expected the whole night to touch on it way more. Jimmy Fallon just failed in every aspect

@jayrobson88 well, there were a couple of jokes about the Conan/Leno incident sprinkled in there throughout the night. I think it would have been in poor taste to make a huge deal out of it. Jimmy addressed it in a way that was humourous, but didn't derail the entire show.

@jayrobson88 if the emmys were broadcasted back in january or february when the conflict was REALLY hot, the references would've been great but its been nearly a year since it happened and yeah you can touch on it a little bit since the emmys are looking back on the past year of television but too much would just wear me out....jay has the tonight show, conan is on tbs in november so lets just move on....
