  • amazing amp

  • You may not be the best guiter player, but that was a good video

  • looks like a christmas tree and your style is so spanish

  • that gunslinger sounds awesome. good thing you got the last of the good models. too bad the 2011 models are made crappy now. rock on.

  • what kind of guitar are u playing?

  • @bluehappyscrap I'm playing the yellow BC Rich Gunslinger, which has a DiMarzio SD installed.

  • how tight is it in response to your playing? I'm looking at adding this to my arsenal but, i need it to be up to par with my triamp and Dragon. I need it to be able to do modern metal. not rediculous gain, just tight and articulate with good compression and note seperation.

  • @diesect33 When I did the video I was just seeing how hard I can push the amp, on the 1 watt setting, and the gain isn't full on, It's being driven by the SD1, Overall the response is tight enough for my needs, I'm chasing that 80's Dokken, vibe, which is a tight, biting tone anyway. My main concern with any amp is the sensitivity & the harmonics I can get, and how easy it is to achieve them. Pleased to say this amp ticks the boxes for me. Check one out..!

  • @Chesterseventythree hey reporting back man. I got some modern hi gain tones but, i've set mine up on the boosted channel WITHa boost and the gain at about 8 oclcok (none on the pedal just volume) and i get some sick hi gain marshall 2205 circa 86 tones from it. I had to retube the preamp though. but, dead on mini 2205 man it's awesome:)

  • @diesect33 Hi just checked out your videos, nice tight tone! This amp is great, it just needs a some intent with the pick and a little push!

  • @Chesterseventythree yeah i agree. it's definitely not an amp to hide behind and the boost really sets it off. I was planning on getting an SD-1 and a JD9 soon but, right now i'm using a bad monkey. pretty nice for tight metal tones.

Thanks for checking out my clips man:)

  • Great sound

  • Is the gain all the way up on lead channel?

  • @vaig4 The gain is set to 8, and is being boosted by the Boss Super overdrive which has the level set on 10, and drive at 5. I didn't use the built in boost function on the amp in this video. I'm going to explore that in the next one. There is gain to spare, all the effects except the delay, are in front of the amp, and there is hardly any noticeable noise at this gain level.

  • @Chesterseventythree thx dude!

  • Do yo use a pedal ? The sound on lead is amazing !

  • @SternGoldtop Thanks! Yes I use the Boss Super Overdrive to boost the signal, it creates a really nasty sounding edge to the distortion, but in a cool way. The settings I used are Level- 10, Tone- 5, and Drive 5.

It's a fairly cheap pedal but I love it.
