To be honest here I have both of them and I found RE Revelations to be a much better game in terms of gameplay, music, and replay ability with the Raid Mode. Uncharted was good but not good enough and remember. Graphics don't make a game.

Honestly, I think these two are both awesome. The character detail on Revelations looks better than Uncharted, but Uncharted's environments just look beautiful. Not to say Uncharted has bad character detail or Revelations has ugly environments... Let me put it this way..

There is a game on 3DS called "Nazo Waku Yakata" that originaly showcased the HRTF based surround sound on the 3DS using it's DSP sound chip. HRTF's are very expensive compute on a "General Purpose"ARM main CPU like on the Vita. The 3DS has a digital signal processor which is way more adept at handling HRTF 3D voices so the 3DS's ARM main CPU does not have to sacrifice graphics or framerate to get advanced surround sound..
If got got a good pair of headphone. Of course you want to have a good sound chip that put those headphones to use, This ain't the Gameboy age where headphones are crappy and handhelds have a tiny mono speaker with Bleeps and Bloops are acceptable.

uncharted looks better because of all the extra visual effects put into it, the burning building level looks great because of sparks and smoke and various lighting effects, that said i really am impressed by how resident evil looks on the 3DS, its the best looking game on the system by far. Now all we need is resident evil vita :p
People don't take into fact that the vita is producing higher polygon count, particles, ambient lighting, shaders, and very detailed textures, and motion capture movements. resident evil still looks georgeous and actually makes me impressed with 3ds ability.

ps vita for sure. 3DS is good but a lot of it is basic geometry with baked in lighting, low poly characters. It gets away with it on the small screen. Vita on the other hand WOW amazing!
You have to take into acount the screens. The Vita has a much higher res 5" OLED screen compared to a 3.5" 3D LCD screen so the difference will be greater. Still great graphics on both.

Revelation has very few and lower quality textures (notice how the ones on walls repeat) and much smaller rooms disguised by loading doors. It also has much simpler animations and gameplay. It's no wonder it looks so good.
The graphics are very cleverly crafted to have great results with the minimum amount of firepower...

The top graphics system . I am a blogger and from what I seen and heard bith system graphics are just about the same. They are both capable of having the same tyoe of games. But 3DS chip is bigger something I don't understand. 3ds can hold up to 8gb and vita chip hold up to 4gb

Wow. I honestly can't see much of a difference. They both look beautiful. Uncharted is a little bit more colorful and a bit less flat, but still, you'd have to look hard to notice the difference. It looks to me like the differences between the two handhelds is about the same as 360 vs PS3, which is excellent.

Graphicly the 3DS doesnt have much more than the PSP in Graphical Processing but because it has more ram it is able to produce a better output than the PSP but its still very lacking in compaired to the vita. Capcom is just amazing and making good games for lower quality systems like the PSP and 3DS. and im not putting it as saying the 3DS sucks a system is a system and its nothing without its games
I own a 3DS and love it and I plan on buying a PS Vita when it comes out. The Legend of Zelda and Uncharted are my 2 favorite series of all time and I love both Sony and Nintendo and enjoy every game they make. :D
These both look absolutely great. They just show what both of these systems can be capable of.
If the 3ds and vita have such beautiful games so early after their launches, imagine later on when Developers get even better with them. This is great for 3ds and vita fans

I think they both compare very well together. But the vita cought my eye more. I do not think this is all what it can do remerber, it just came out developers can and they will make games the bring out all of the vitas graphic capability. I know the 3DS is also great and when the 3D is on it is amazing but the vitas coulers are more noticeable and the 3Ds looks dule like when you wash something to much and the colers fade away.
I think they look fairly similar, but the Vita one has more detail in the scenes shown. That said, the 3DS game will look better than the Vita one when the 3DS 3D graphics are turned on.

Ok, here are the facts, for those of you saying the 3DS is more powerful than the Vita:
PS VITA: the Vita uses a 4 core processor with 152mb of RAM (twice as much as the PS3), a graphics card that's twice as powerful as the iPad and anything else on the market, all producing the image you see above in HD resolution on a big handheld screen.
3DS: A PICA2000 processor from 2006 on a small screen.

@WarlosPS3 I'm a big fan of Halo and even I gotta say, ICO is better. ICO is one of very, very few games that I can say is like art in motion...and truly beautiful.
1.The 3ds's pica200 is from 2008 at 200MHz. And screen size doesn't matter. If the pica200 was made for a a tv it would still look better than the vita.
2.Plus, the 3ds is also stronger than the iPad. It uses a dual-core CPU as well a 128MB of blazing fast fcram too (3ds's fcram is faster than the wii and vita's dram).
3.Finally, vita can't do HD, in fact, the res are actually pretty similar:

Uncharted 3 wins hands down... It's not really even a contest and it would be even more obvious comparing them on their proper systems side by side.
And price:performance Vita definitely wins with it's library overall... Revelations is the ONLY game of this caliber coming out for the 3DS next year and this year. There are a ton of games on Vita that match and/or beat Revelations visuals.
Just being realistic with you all.. I have a 3DS and don't plan on buying PSV at launch.
Of course Uncharted is the definite winner, but the video proves that the 3DS isn't lagging behind as much as you' think. Both systems are great, and I hope they continue handheld gaming for many generations to come.
@sonydrones who flock to this page how can this be Wii graphics if this resident evil is running on a modified mtframework engine used for re5. something Wii or ps2 for that matter could not handle in any modified form especially the ps2.

Funny how the flagship title on Vita doesn't really look much better at all than a game on a system that is much less powerful. Is this a case of perhaps developers just not wanting to dump many resources into Vita due to the potential low sales?

To me I think ps3 has better graphics only because the games has blu ray features on it which means the cut scenes on the ps3 games looks better. 360 overall probably do but since i play a lot of games that has cut scenes in it i put ps3 over 360

The top graphics system . I am a blogger and from what I seen and heard bith system graphics are just about the same. They are both capable of having the same tyoe of games. But 3DS chip is bigger something I don't understand. 3ds can hold up to 8gb and vita chip hold up to 4gb

When you put the 3ds in 3d mode the graphics are very similar. so thats why i put them tied. And yes the XBOX was more powerful than the ps2 but the graphics to me are better on the ps2. I dont know why. They still making ps2 games today and those games has better graphics than xbox games.

Wow. I honestly can't see much of a difference. They both look beautiful. Uncharted is a little bit more colorful and a bit less flat, but still, you'd have to look hard to notice the difference. It looks to me like the differences between the two handhelds is about the same as 360 vs PS3, which is excellent.

Graphicly the 3DS doesnt have much more than the PSP in Graphical Processing but because it has more ram it is able to produce a better output than the PSP but its still very lacking in compaired to the vita. Capcom is just amazing and making good games for lower quality systems like the PSP and 3DS. and im not putting it as saying the 3DS sucks a system is a system and its nothing without its games

FINALLY AN UNBIASED/FANBOYISH COMPARISON.
I own a 3DS and love it and I plan on buying a PS Vita when it comes out. The Legend of Zelda and Uncharted are my 2 favorite series of all time and I love both Sony and Nintendo and enjoy every game they make. :D

Wow, to be honest, I cannot find a very huge difference between the two on graphics. This is a very good comparison.
Obviously Uncharted looks nicer since the Vita has stronger hardware, but the 3DS is not far behind.
Kudos to CAPCOM in showing what the 3DS is REALLY capable of.

Vita has a 220DPI screen while the 3DSs has a 118DPI screen. Which means that the Vitas screen is 50% sharper than the 3DS.

I think they both compare very well together. But the vita cought my eye more. I do not think this is all what it can do remerber, it just came out developers can and they will make games the bring out all of the vitas graphic capability. I know the 3DS is also great and when the 3D is on it is amazing but the vitas coulers are more noticeable and the 3Ds looks dule like when you wash something to much and the colers fade away.

I think they look fairly similar, but the Vita one has more detail in the scenes shown. That said, the 3DS game will look better than the Vita one when the 3DS 3D graphics are turned on.

Sony and Nintendo fanboys, you make your beloved consoles look bad. Pick the one that has your favorite games and more of them, or if you are fortunate enough to have the money get both. If you're concerned which has more power then my money is on Vita, but the 3DS is still very good on its own.
For me, the choice is Nintendo this go around.

Ok, here are the facts, for those of you saying the 3DS is more powerful than the Vita:
PS VITA: the Vita uses a 4 core processor with 152mb of RAM (twice as much as the PS3), a graphics card that's twice as powerful as the iPad and anything else on the market, all producing the image you see above in HD resolution on a big handheld screen.
3DS: A PICA2000 processor from 2006 on a small screen.

1.The 3ds's pica200 is from 2008 at 200MHz. And screen size doesn't matter. If the pica200 was made for a a tv it would still look better than the vita.
2.Plus, the 3ds is also stronger than the iPad. It uses a dual-core CPU as well a 128MB of blazing fast fcram too (3ds's fcram is faster than the wii and vita's dram).
3.Finally, vita can't do HD, in fact, the res are actually pretty similar:
3DS: 800x240
PS VITA: 960x544
Both are shy of HD.

Uncharted 3 wins hands down... It's not really even a contest and it would be even more obvious comparing them on their proper systems side by side.
And price:performance Vita definitely wins with it's library overall... Revelations is the ONLY game of this caliber coming out for the 3DS next year and this year. There are a ton of games on Vita that match and/or beat Revelations visuals.
Just being realistic with you all.. I have a 3DS and don't plan on buying PSV at launch.
