Not my favorite singer--but she's a great actress---Callas would have approved. That's why N. is hot stuff now....she throws herself vocally/dramatically into the role leaving most other sopranos (and we could name some) in the dust.
She is wonderful..Her tone is so much more resonant and pleasant to listen to than any of the other female opera singers I have heard. And even with the more pleasing tone she loses none of her power. Amazing voice.
Vrey very good ! On bra mai fu, Violette,Dimmi amor!,Per la gloria d'adorarvi,Danza Fanciullagentile as a Italian lies, Hendel ,Te Deum and Requiem by Fore and as a solo for a super singer ,I think you can get good.
I like so pure pure your voice
Old callas way or mordern england singers others use vivrat weavy by fashizmic pressuer ordering from them,.
Never use it . Your own status hold a singer, too .
With much butterflies of your antiants sing together, always , I suposed.
me too... my mother has never sung this song, but every time I listen to it, I see her face how she would do this... but I can not hear her anymore... :(
Anna Netrebko has an unusually gorgeous vocal timbre which adds the necessary touch of poignancy needed to pull off this song. It's *just right* for this piece!
@Operalover12002 These are seven gypsy songs. Dvorac was Czech or Slovak (I do not know exactly). If these songs symbolize anything, it would be the great influence, which Gypsy art, music and culture had on European culture, especially, East European (plus Spain and Portugal, of course).
@Nushika9 His name was Dvořák and he was Czech and Czech republic isnt on East Europe but on Central Europe(in this time czech lands were on Austrians(not Australia, only Austria on Europe) rules).
@tlkounev Czech or Slovak is not the very big difference, as it had been Czechoslovakia for 45years. And to argue, if Czech republic is in East Europe or in Central Europe, is not very important pertinently, as the point is that Gypsy music and culture influence essentially European culture, including East European nations, West European nations, and Central European nations, as well. Though the rude negligence and patronizing of classicalgal14 I do not like. I respect people's national pride.
@Nushika9 I tell you only this: Would be OK for you if I said Abraham Lincoln was englishman and said it isnt rly too different if he was american? Rude is when someone has problems with verifing facts which tells to others on public. THX and Happy Xmas.
@tlkounev Okay, you, maybe, right. Anyhow, I had no intention to offend anybody's national pride, as I already stated. And I like Dvorak's music very much. Have a nice Christmas and Happy New Year!
I'm staring at the sheet music and I'm lost with the lyrics ._. Thought this sounds so beautiful.

Anna Netrebko has the sound that Stradivarius was aiming at. There is none of that hollow sound that Callas had.
