  • anyone think Gary Oldman or Daniel Day Lewis would be a great Andrew Ryan?

  • In reality though, I truly understand where this guy here is coming, a majority of video game movies suck >.<

  • If I was the director, I would pull an Andrew Ryan and choose the impossible...

  • oh Gore if only i was rich i would give you the money for it...sigh.

  • its not impossible they could just make an animated movie

  • On one hand, I really want a Bioshock movie. On the other hand, there is no way in hell that they could make it PG-13 and have it still be true to the story. I bet they could get tons of donations from fans if they were really motivated, and who cares if you're losing the younger crowd? You'd have the whole fanbase coming to see this film! (Ironically, this is coming from a 15-year-old... but I'd probably be old enough by the time it was finished xD)

    In summation:

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

  • he reminds me of zeke from berring sea gold

  • Do the film, would you kindly?

  • Then don't make it with Disney, talk to the Weinstein brothers instead they like violence

  • It's for the best, how many great games were anally raped after a movie of the game came out.

Some games should never be turned into a movie and especcially not bioshock...

The choices u make decide the plot and then they would have to make two or three movies with each a different ending and that would indeed be too expensive for those multibillionaire moviemakers.

  • @feliixx They wouldn't need to make a movie with 2 3 different endings just stick with the good ending but reference the choice you CAN make in the game. I honestly thought the good ending was better and I'm sure would work better. Bad ending works ok for the video game because it's a video game.

  • ok... will all 837 people who liked this video kill themselves please, that's if you already haven't.

  • KILL TWILIGHT AND USE THEIR BUDGET!

  • @H44classvsBismark What budget? there were two reasons that movie sucked :D

  • @H44classvsBismark What budget?

  • Or they can, you know, make it computer animated so it sticks to the game graphics we're all familiar with but more a bit more fluid.....

    Just a thought.

  • heart=broken

  • I really think that if the Bioshock movie was made it can easily double its money in the first few weeks!

  • Greenscreen for background... And just computer generated Big Daddys... DONE!!!

  • "its hard to get the money for the big daddys" godd damm i am already shooting on my screen money take it TAKE IT !!!!

  • then don't make an R rated version of it make it PG-13 so everyone can see it

  • @JCquit Look i ofcourse don't know if kids today are as easily scared as 20 years ago but if when i was 12 or 13 and i saw a little sister suck blood out of a mangled corpse with a giant syringe and then DRINK it i would never sleep again. Just saying that it would get R rated for a reason.

  • @feliixx yeah your probably write but if it's R then that means I can't see it for shit

  • @JCquit It's better to have no movie than have it PG-13, PG-13 would be a injustice. It NEEDS to be R rated

  • @morphor alright fine. let's make a movie

  • I bet that if they made the movie, they would get back the money they spent to make it in a week or two, but even if you don't know the game, the title, "Bioshock", just sounds interesting enough to make you watch it and knowing that the movie will be big will make you want to watch it EVEN more, ya know?

  • have james camerin make it he made avatar look how much that cost lol

  • Him:Can't make one.

Me: Ok ( but a Big Daddy drill on my hand.) How about Now?

Him: Ok! (Takes out a microphone) Were making a Bioshock movie!

  • Why make it "Real Life" I say make it a Realistic cartoon like Rango or something... Imo =D

  • @RyuuTamaZee If they try to make a realistic version of bioshock then I would be pissed because then there would be no bioshock because that game is far from realistic I want them to make a movie of the FIRST

  • @RyuuTamaZee you know what your write It would probably be a better movie if they didn't make it realistic. I mean have you seen the trailers, but if they do make a movie they better not change shit, they better keep the story line the same and not get rid of ANY of the characters, and they better rescue the little sisters instead of harvesting them. there is a blockbuster movie for yuh.

  • "I wouldn't say it's "gone, gone, gone" but...it's certainly...gone."

  • Tim Burton: Genuinely Scary? Challenged Accepted...

  • THEN TAKE DONATIONS FROM FANS!

How about you let us donate the cost of a ticket online. Then we can download a voucher that we that would be validated at our local cinema...Ta dah!!!!

    Production...Easy

Build sets with green screen windows like they do in driving scenes and git e'r dun!!!

  • If they do make a bioshock movie sometime it better not be bioshock infinite because I think it would be cooler if they did it for the first bioshock movie

  • R Rated movies are always better, they are just scared of losing money because of losing the younger audience. What they don't realise is, the film won't be remembered as an all time great when they force a 12A into the cinema.

  • i want bioshock movie n i want it now

  • i dont get y u guys want this movie so bad

  • @Ron72981 whats bad? the idea of the movie or a game? i personally liked the game(like most of the people who watched this) but as far as a movie goes i say "go big or go home"

  • @MrNeonTape im saying who cares if they make a movie or if they dont you still got the game to play

  • @Ron72981 its more of something most fans of the game would want to see, if you dont want to then that s perfectly fine. Its just better to pick your words when commenting online since 1 wrong letter can set off alot of simple minded people

  • dude.. dou you now how long we've been waiting for bioshock... SINCE IT CAME OUT I MEAN ITS BEEN SO LONG WE DONT EVEN CARE IF ITS REAL JUST DO ANIMATION BESIDES NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SPEND YOU'LL PROBABLY GET QUADDRUPLE OF WHAT YOU SPENT

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • to bad theres a bioshock movie planned to be release in 2013 :p

  • How about taking away allll that money there planning on spending on Avatar 2 and 3 and make the Bioshock movie?! :D

  • @natho60 there is going to be more avatar movies!?!? holy shit NOOO!! *loading gun*... *bang*

  • @preston7795 HAHAHAH I know right! :P

  • you do understand the meaning of the word 'impossible' right? this sounded like a MIGHT never happen to me. If this kinda film was gonna work, maybe a full cgi film would be more effective, it could be the 1st 'r rated' (or 18 over here) cgi film to be shown in a cinema (resi evil degeneration doesnt count cuz it wasnt in the flicks) plus it would be easier to get lost in the story cuz you wont constantly b noticing differences btween the real people and the graphics cuz itll all b cgi!

  • God dammit sell cookies for the budget then!

  • Just further proof that Hollywood doesn't have a backbone.

Anything that might pay off in the end is too "risky". Man, as much as I love film, I hate the industry.

  • Anyway... I think that the movie wouldn't be any better than the actual game. I think the game is just too far awesome to make any good adaptation to the big screen.

  • heres an idea, don't make a movie about after the fall of rapture, make it about building rapture

  • Nooooooooo!!!

    D":

  • make a fund raiser or something god damnit

  • Would you kindly make a Bioshock movie?

  • what about a play!?except...I completely understand

  • It's just bullshit. They can they just don't want to. If they can make a good movie like resident evil, which is multiple movies, james camerons avatar, transformers and the likes. They can dam well make a bioshock movie.

  • @oOBANGZOo Why the heck was this comment marked as spam? Are kids seriously this stupid they are desperate for a Bioshock game gone wrong?

  • @morphor movie gone wrong*

  • @morphor People are morons...

At least there is just one person that understands, that's all that matters. We are the true fans of Bioshock.

  • @oOBANGZOo Not sure why this was marked as spam. That's the issue with video game movies: they never stay true to the real essence of the game. This guy understands that and wont settle for less than the game deserves.

  • Nooooooooo

  • Steven Spielburg bought the rights to a Bioshock movie, so it will probably happen, but not be rated R

  • STOP STOMPING ON OUR DREAMS!!!

  • Don't Wait, Incinerate!

  • hehe, well if they do it right and it turns out to be just as awesome as the game was.... well they could rake in a whole ton of money

  • simple solution... make a G rated bioshock movie

  • @penman1912 He wants it rated R.

  • @penman1912 Do you have any idea how much that would suck?

  • Comment removed

  • yeah it can't be made. even though it is.

  • him: I'm sorry we can't make a bioshock movie

me: maybe I didn't make myself clear (stick myself with adam) make a bioshock movie

    him: :o

  • @JCquit *would you kindly make a bioshock movie?

  • use a green screen GODDAMMIT I WANT A MOVIE

  • why the hell woudnt they they make the bioshock games into a series of movies like avater ????? if they did the movie imagine the underwater city and how scary it would be like, why do they make shit movies like twilight and that when they can make the ultimate R18 film that is in a under water city.

  • I love Bioshock which is exactly why I DO NOT want a movie. The games have already surpassed what a movie can do by far. The games atmosphere, style of terror, and characters only work in graphics and paced in the prospective it was presented in, not to mention the first person POV helped the story unfold in the game. To change that would be to change a lot of Bioshocks style thus irritating the fans. It is better as a game series honestly. Let it live with dignity.

  • wtfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

  • I see what he means by the cost of building a city set would cost too much, and too many people would pirate the movie which means most of the profit would be gone. And using a green screen for a set instead of a real one would look twice as retarded. They should at least keep the idea under consideration in the chance of getting enough funds for the movie.

  • STFU and just make a Bioshock movie already! And put Assassins Creed on that list.

  • Studios need to stop being pussies with R rated movies... It's 2012 guys. The average gamer is over 18 now, stop being a pussy and put out a fucking Bioshock movie.

  • I can understand the hesitancy, it's such a unique and inspiring story, it would be worrying to not know how good the film is going to look and feel towards the audience until it comes out, and by then it would be too late to save it, might risk ruining it's originality if not careful.

  • Why can't they make an animated movie of BioShock? They made an animated movie for DeadSpace and Halo so doesn't BioShock deserve one? Gore Verbinski is a millionare since his movie "Rango" was a huge success, so he should be able to fund a fairly amazing animated film of BioShock. Even if the BioShock movie would be a million times more awesome if it was live action, it would still be amazing to see it animated.

  • @ultimatepivot222 The problem with the Dead Space and halo animated films is that they weren't released in theaters. While they were good, I think the makers of this bioshock film want a theater released Bioshock Live action film.

  • they cant make a bioschok but they can make some gay ass avatar ?

  • @FoxrotPs3 i think a big problem is the R rating, cause those make less money and less people see them

  • brings tears to my eyes... This movie could have been a master piece

  • A movie for bioshock is easy so you can watch me make it and get 10000000000000000 hits on everythin

  • spair change for Bioshock...

  • Wait, they can go to a jungle, fake a spacecraft, guns, 3 7' tall hunks of hunting badass, a 5'5" hunk of badass (all 4 of which were costumes with a bit of CGI), get a katana and still give it an R rated for Predators, but they can't make 2-3 big daddies with CGI?

DAMN IT, i garuntee it would be better received than twilight!

FYI, Big daddy and little sister = better love story than twilight

  • @Canada81395 They just have to ask cosplayers to come in with their Big Daddy suits, a little patch up and they'll be fine just pay them the wage of extras if cash is that tight. As for the set...I'm sure they could think of something. CGI has taken over as well as 3D.

But I don't blame them for being cautious, look at what a success "Doom" was. They have to do it and cast it right.

  • @EatingMyNeighbors nice one

  • @TheMeatLover123 True, but the outcry from parents will be unbelievable. Look at Mass Effect's supposed 'Sex Scenes' and you'll see my point.

  • If Avatar is possible, bioshock is possible

  • "TheGamerNooob" u really are a noob for thinking Resident Evil and Silent hill Movies suck. Its not about the gore or Action. Silent hill is more of an in-depth game for people who understand quality.

  • Bio shock movie would be the best damn movie ever made. It Should be like Lord of the rings or Harry Potter Movies, Long, epic and fucking awesome. Plz or Plz make a Bio Shock movie

  • I hate people talking about making movies from video games when the video game doesnt have any story. Bioshock has one and could make a good movie, it doesnt have to fit to the action, all the ambience, dark past is here to make a good movie. But expensive to make a good one, and most of the players dont watch video games adaptations just because of that word : adaptation.

  • Most if not all Video Game movies suck. I would not want Hollywood tainting the name of a masterpiece like Bioshock.

Remember the Doom film? Remember the Resident Evil films? Remember the Tomb Raider film? Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Bros, Silent Hill, Hitman, Max Payne.

Those were all made into films and they all SUCKED. Amazing games. Ruined by Hollywood.

These studios need to stay away from the things we love. I'm glad to know that Half Life will never be tainted by Hollywood.

  • @TheGamerNooob

I could have sworn Resident Evil one was pretty damn good. And definitely Mortal Kombat. But the others you listen were kind of silly >=\

Oh and Silent Hill was actually pretty good too.

  • @TheGamerNooob Yes I agree. And the fact about Hollywood ruining all the time those movies is because most of the great imaginative talents are not really working for Hollywood but in the game industry instead. I support this point, because most of the time we can see how often new stories are coming from videogames and not from the movies. Stories from movies are cool, but for me videogames are a long way better.

  • If they make two Silent Hill movies, they can EASILY make a Bioshock movie too. Technology is not the problem, and yes de story of the movie. I'll not accept crap like Dragonball Evolution.

  • So your telling me the director of a family movie with a lizard wanted to make a bioshock movie... lol wut

  • I don't think he's saying it's impossible. Pretty unlikely, but not impossible. Maybe once we get out of this recession and the production companies are a bit more willing to take risks again, then... maybe. Now? Probably not.

  • WOULD YOU PLEASE like my comment

  • WHY IS THERE A LIZZARD ON THE BACKGROUND??

  • this guys a pussy if i had the kind of money needed even if it dragged me to last pennies and i lost it all on making it just imagine the reaction of some people, theirs a father and daughter bonding in it what would be emotional at some points and then theird be a protective side the film would be one of the all time legends if they had the bollox to splash a bit of cash on a great idea...

  • Omg, if i see a bioshock 1 movie in like 5 years or so... I will preorder a ticket. Lol

  • Improbable*

    Animations =/= Set Price <3

  • Just further proof that Hollywood doesn't have a backbone.

Anything that might pay off in the end is too "risky". Man, as much as I love film, I hate the industry.

  • They could take all the money from Twilight to make a Bioshock movie. It's not like they need it.

  • @EatingMyNeighbors yeah, this would be a good way of preventing a another twilight sequel too. Great idea.

  • @EatingMyNeighbors come on we both know that tiwlight isnt gonna make money

  • @EatingMyNeighbors or deserve it :D

  • just start a fund raiser that is like a week livestream and if you pay a certant amout you get somthing so the directors would be getting money and people would be geting stuff to i mean really? you could do better than that email me at nickwestphalpeterson@yahoo.com if you want to do a fundraiser or somthing to help make a bioshock movie

  • Its not that fucking hard to make Bioshock a movie just start it off as a guy who works for the Army goes under water and discovers the city, then just copy the opening of either Bioshock 1 or Bioshock 2 and copy the story line from there i mean they people are fucking loaded they cant be that stupid im a normal person and i have a amazing idea of how to make Bioshock a movie than they do -___- also @kingofkingsiceking i agree DB Evolution was a complete fail...

  • Really? Because if you're worried about money, go ask Doublefine about Kickstarter. If people want to see something made, we will pay for it. You don't need studios to pay a dime, just tell the internet, "Who want's to see a Bioshock movie? We need money." The response, /watch?v=JQCP85FngzE

  • that is gaaaaaaaaaaaaay cause a bioshock would be awsome ONLY if it followed the game and not have some director wanting to put his stupid ideas into it and have a good cast and not a bunch of misfits

  • This guy is a pussy! You know how much money this fucker makes? Is he too stingy to use some of that on the movie? And what the fuck, Pirates of the Caribbean had so much CGI it was ridiculous! It's like this guy doesn't want to make a movie unless Johnny fucking Depp is in it!

  • "the cost associated with building this underwater city" you could use green screens. (Facepalm)

  • Aww, that makes [NAME CENSOR] sad!

  • So what they're saying is that Bioshock is SO good, that Hollywood isn't even going to try to make a crappy, cheap version of it?

    That's what I'm hearing.

  • Why is Rango in the background?

  • Everyone loves to donate these days, open up donations for fans boom 30-100 mill easy.

  • Of course IGN would put out a video like this... negative fucks.

  • Forgot 2 mention underworld were wolves were foam latex full body suits with specially crafted stilts to the adjust height of the actor

  • Lololol its not impossible by far i mean they dont need to computer generate much, i mean look at underworlds werewolves they looked badass theyed only need to make cg water, glowing eyes for little sisters, and the affects for plasmids

  • impossible HAHAHAH. how much of the last harry potter was computer generated?

  • Oh common, if Peter Jackson can pull of Lord of the Rings, you can pull off a Bioshock movie.

  • @302Heath yeah and they better make it exactly like the game or I'm gonna be pissed

  • @JCquit But what are the chances of that happening? Just look at the Resident Evil movies.

  • I would love a bioshock movie but i would want it to be set during the time of the civil war in rapture to give us a little more back story

  • @MyTrollinAccount69 They did, it's called the Book of Eli...

  • @HunterRossTV hardly that wasnt even an impressive movie nor was there any monsters as childish as that may sound lol

  • ... Animated maybe?

  • i would donate to make this movie!

  • will never take more than Lord Of the Rings. Its not impossible.

  • you now ou dont need to build a real city underwater

  • @lordroticiv That's because they dont pick the right games

  • No1 else think a combined portal+portal 2 movie from rattmans point of view would be great

  • someone needs to make a fallout 3 movie.

  • @MyTrollinAccount69 and a resistance movie, like fuck skyline and gay sci fi failures like that, bring on the Chimera!

  • @MyTrollinAccount69 Watch the Book of Eli, extremely similar

  • @MyTrollinAccount69 no way, in fallout the cool part is being able to choose what YOU want

  • @SCREAMCASE 70 middle fingers disagree.

  • @MyTrollinAccount69 I believe that Bethesda bought the rights to one when they bought the Fallout developing rights from Interplay Entertainment

  • @MyTrollinAccount69 that wouldnt work though since you make choices in it sadly

  • they should make a donation pool for fans of the game to donate the odd pound or two, it must have (millions?) of fans, and it would show the company there is a high demand for it. every body put it on your christmas list :)

  • @AnimeNinjaz If every fan put forward 5 dollars (Im American so I use dollars not pounds) they would come up with at least at 100 million dollar budget which would be probably 1/3 of the movies budget depending on what they do with the movie. I do agree with you however. That would be a great idea,

  • @MGSpencer2991 I think it would be more, because there's a growing fanbase of bioshock, not just the ones who already played it, but the ones who want to play it and the ones who are finding out about it. ^^

The problem with a movie would be that it would have to be R rated, imagine little kids going into the theatre to see the movie... The topics the game touches aren't exactly easy to digest either. x.x

  • @akissy well like i said it would come up with at LEAST 100 million dollars which i think would be at least a 1/3 of the budget because 300 million dollar movies arent just made every day you know? i mean thats A BIG moive. Avatar costed 700 million and thats only because it took 10 years to make. but i agree that it would have to be R rated and at any rate because your right, the game is pretty violent, but still.. very awesome lol

  • @MGSpencer2991 Oh I do know, maybe when we're in our 30's they will surprise us with it? XDDD Who knows. XDD

  • @akissy id watch it lol

  • Well fuckin figure it out.

  • But this would make such a brilliant film!! I wish someone just gave the money to this guy!

  • they can just make it animation but with the same graphics as the game duh

  • @evongalo its because DISNEY is controlled by the illuminati just like most of hollywood

  • It's all for the best, ALL MOVIES BASED ON GAMES SUCK! If you don't believe me, watch that Doom movie or...that Super Mario Movie no one likes to talk about

  • @lordroticiv No one talks about fight club either, but your point is well made

  • I think it is better that the game does not get a film. After all, half the fun is wondering around rapture with a gun at the ready, to blast a mother fucking splicer in the face as they jump around from the corner. It wont be the same, watching someone else play the main character and, lets face it, wont be half as scary.

  • If they can make pieces of shit like "My Bloody Valentine", then there's no excuse for making a movie. But... then again, it would probably be a little odd to say the least. We're used to seeing the game, making our own choices and whatnot... And if all the special effects are as bad as they were in "The Last Airbender"(Movie, not cartoon/anime), I think I'd rather not have Bioshock ruined for me like that.

  • Thanks for uploading this video, its something i needed to know rather than be watching fake Bioshock movie trailers

  • WHO THE FUCK NAMES THEIR KID "GORE"?

  • This movie would fail. as with the majority of movie based off of videogames. thats why i never heard of the Super Mario movie (which was made in '93) until about august 2011

  • @MegaBLYSTONE

The reason you never heard of Super Mario Bros is because it wasn't Super Mario Bros at all. It was some freakish dystopian flick with some British guy, some aliens with weird heads, and Dennis Hopper as a Klingon. XD

  • @Ygdrasel

then why was mario and luigi in it.

  • @MegaBLYSTONE

They weren't. Some guys who shared their names were.

  • That is true but if they do it right they will make 2 as much as they spent making it
