Keep up the good work! I can't handle any carbs or acidic stuff. I get major pains and end up with dumping. I have to lay down until it passes. The coating feeling in your mouth is a lack of fluids. I had that a few weeks ago and had to go to the er and have 3 bags of saline through an iv. I hope everything continues to go well and the fluids become easier for you.
Congrats on your weight loss so far! This is a big learning process and the best thing I can tell you is to follow what your doctor says and if you have problem ask the nutrionist for help too..Good to see you again.
Your lucky it didn't kill you! Compliance is very important at this stage. Remember, it is too early too eat stuff like bread and eggs. Take advantage of this stage..the weightloss will take care of itself.
Joyce, so glad to see you. The "chest" pain in your stomach is most likely you are eating to fast, and therefore eating to much. Please be careful, try to eat slower, and see if that helps. Also, good move NOT eating the english muffin, try to stay away from carbs for a little while longer. UNLESS of course your NUT said you could eat them. Did they give you a OK food list? A little trick for getting fluids is use a timer, every 15 mintues drink 1-2 oz. Glad you are losing, keep up the good work
Be careful...the tomatoes or acidic stuff will irritate your pouch. The wrong foods or too much food can cause stretching and leakage early out. This is your honeymoon phase...your chance to lose the most the fastest. Try to sip slowly and choose only proteins. I can't even have breads or carbs til November. I had my surgery 2 1/2 wks ago.
So glad to here you are doing good! Congratulations on the weight loss! Take care, Kellie
