  • fucking FAMILY! !!!!

  • To those twats and wankers who are putting him down because of what happen to him,

I cant wait to hear about this happening you in the future when all that you have worked for wither by entertainment or any job for that matter for your retirment and the peopel that you trust put you throught he same hell as him. Because I know that I and others will be reading these same comments that you're posting being posted about you on a future youtube.

  • There's a new documentary due to be released soon about the financial exploitation of the elderly. It stars Mickey Rooney, and I think it's going to be a real eye-opener. It's called 'Last Will and Embezzlement', you can find the trailer here on Youtube...

  • lol :(''' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' >>> 1:25 - 1:26 .......... hes lost all credibility in my opinion... i think he just wants to withdraw his responsibility over his actions, spending his money on women or whatever habits hes got, by accusing his co-conspirator/partner-in-crime of manipulating him into wasting his money.......

  • HI! I'M MICKEY ROONEY! I LIKE TO SCREAM AT MICE WITH MY SHIRT OFF!

  • @haloCE6 AND POOP IN A CHIMNEY!!!

  • Wasn't this old dirt-bag who played one of the most racist characters in history in Breakfast at Tiffany's?

  • Your family are the first and last people that you turn to when the world lets you down. If you cant trust those that love you ... WHERE do you go? Mickey shows that if a wealthy well know celeb can be used anyone can be. I hope that he has enough of HIS money left to live well on.

  • take this story with a grain of salt......I have known many older people who start really losing it once they get past 80 years old. My mother is 88 and is absolutely convinced that strangers live in her attic, hundreds of unknown shrowded characters are trying to break into the house, people are stealing from her....it never ends.....yet when she is saying all these things, she is quite articulate about it

  • My Great-Grandmother lived to be 103 years old. It was at 100 years old, that she painted her two-story home; and after that her life was history. She went to a doctor! Instead of treating her aches and pains from all the climbing and work, he made her incapable of managing her life. Her home was sold and her finances were abscounded by her daughter. She died 3 years later.

  • rip mickey rooney. You were one of the best!!

  • @AntaresInScorpius LOL?? this man is still alive!!

  • @archuletarox321 lol. yes you are right. i just googled him. i thought he died years ago.

  • black man is dreaming about chicken

  • sadnating ? what

  • I can relate. We had to put our grandfather down 2 years ago. He was getting to hard to control. We miss you grandpappy.

  • 1:25 holy shit! is he dribbling or sweating?

  • I remember looking at Mickey on tv when I was a kid. He looked like a little boy for a long time .

  • @GJNCA

.... interesting. Rumour only, but I have heard elsewhere that he is not the easiest person in the world to get along with. And I am being polite putting it that way. It's too bad ol' Mickey can't just enjoy the rest of his golden years, instead of fighting.

  • I have an elder who has no say to his lawyer, who has the power of attorney, the case manager/social worker, and a friend brain wash him to think his son daughter, and his sister wants to take his money from him, and he should not involve them in his life. This man has MS (multiple sclerosis) he is now in a nursing , his apartment is stiil there but they want to keep him in a nursing home. This man does’t know what to do. My email is equatojim@aol.com and my name is James

  • he is a legend

  • I know from experience as it happened to me. First comes the borrowing of your money with stories as was with my daughter and her husband. If you are afraid to end up in a nursing home as I am, and they promise you that they will take care of "not to worry, come and live with us" and then as soon as the money runs out (2 yrs $190,00 later) then they turn the heat on you to make you feel uncomfortable and emotionally abuse you. You lose your dignity, your money and trust. I am near homeless.

  • @probono999 sounds exactly like my brother and his wife, but they got away with very little. I wrote and rewrote this several times and can't even describe their pathetic conduct and selfishness. They definitely cost money through bad advice and the legal war we had to bring against them, but long story they didn't get much if anything.

I was a voice and financial resource against my brother and I haven't spoken to him since. He has tried calling a few times, but I will never answer.

  • Poor bastard, He earned that money and he should fucking spend it any way he wants, what kind of degenerate would take that away from such a great man?! Some asshole sees his vunerability, takes advantage and gets away with it.

The world we live in today is a fucking joke, and it's not a funny one.

  • I think some people are on here misunderstand what Mickey Rooney is saying. He is trying to say that people should not abuse the elderly and their money. He is not talking about money, he is referring to emotional abuse as well. If you are an elderly and can cognitively understand what is happening, you have a right to determine what path you want to go and have help. People on here don't listen and just assume he is some crazy old man. Ugh... We lack respect for elderly anymore.

  • I feel it's terrible that the elderly are mistreated. It's shameful that their own relatives take advantage of them. I feel for Mr. Rooney but I do have one question. What does the Senate have to do with this? This seems to me like a personal problem between Mr. Rooney, his step-son and the police. The government has no business in the personal affairs of any of it's citizens.

  • @SuperMikewarren That I can answer... It is illegal (of course it is) to abuse an elderly person... Senate has not heard many cases where an elderly is abused... Mr. Rooney tried to find where his money went and as usual the people said he is not allowed to have that information... Mr. Rooney has to speak up about this and you are right about the personal issue... but the Senate must enforce the laws of elderly abuse.

  • Why do I get the impression that Mickey Rooney is a perpetual whiner and complainer ????

  • Poor Mickey, I hear that he's broke and drives an old jalopy.

Feisty for a 90+ year old man.

  • I have a sister that I believe is being abused. Children of the elderly abuse their parents too. They take away your dignity and make decisions for you when you are cognitive and able to make them for yourself. What comes around goes around. I believe in Karma and some day their day will come. You youngsters will be elderly some day and you should hope it doesn't happen to you. Have some compassion and hope you will not be bullied by letting others take away your dignity. It is not about money

  • Still the biggest star in the world! :D

  • If the Police arrest Hookers, drug dealers, animal abuser's, any one who runs a red

light, why can't they arrest Elder Abuser's. What a couple suffered , especially the

wife in Hanford CA is heart breaking, and the Police did nothing. Why should any

one go to the Police if they don't believe you. Would they like any of their elderly

    family go through such horror?

  • his logic is clearly clouded

part about the veterens, wasn't nessisary

of course we have the right to live our own lives

money isn't the reason for happiness so stop bitchin

    try getting raped

yeah we can go into life stories

  • rhetorical, all over the place statment.... Crazy ass

  • I'm thrilled he shed some light on this issue. It sickens me to think people are so money hungry that they exploit their family for money, and these scumbags need to be brought to justice. Way to go, Mickey Rooney.

  • I thank the Senate for allowing you to come forward , and speaking about Elder Abuse

which is rampant in the USA, and all over the world. I want to see a better system,

and Law with actions for us Senior Citizens, no matter what color, creed nationality

they are , we are human, and have rights. So many perpetrators are getting away

with crimes against Senior's. Many judge's don't give a hoot about us, they usually

give out a hand shake sentence. .Mickey you have my support, Never Give Up.

  • A great man and fantastic actor!

  • mickey if you had been in gangster movies you would have know what to do. get his arms and legs broke. it's only money

  • Well said, Mickey!

  • mr rooney you are one brave man to get up and tell your story

to the world i'am so proud of you

you sir are my new hero,

that was one poweful statement may you always be healty and stronf

    jim 86 years old

  • I am personally aware of how horrible elder abuse is. My 80 year old mother returned to her home from vacation only to find that my sister and her new husband had locked her out of her home and would not let her in. She has been living with me now for two years. We've filed an elder abuse case with the DA, but they've told us its too complicated. We should get an attorney and file a civil case. Instead my sister is suing my mom for moms half of the home and its costing thousands of dollars.

  • Anyone who could harm that dear, sweet man; a hero to many and a star for everyone, well, anyone who could harm Mickey Rooney- I'm sure theres a special place in hell reserved for them.

  • @Gimmer3 Staged? Retribution? Oh please, spare us the patronizing attitude. Mr. Rooney was asked to appear before the senate committee, Of course he would have his thoughts as to what he was going to say. He is still 90 years of age and is VULNERABLE to manipulation by fear or, better yet a sense of purpose to live. The court document states that Rooneys once $400,000. bank acct is now at only $1200.00 under his stepsons control. FORM YOUR OPINION on fact and not just a youtube sounbite.

  • Mickey gave a great performance but no specifics details. The whole thing felt staged and like family retribution to me. Something tells me no one pushes Mickey around; this seemed very fake to me although I know elder abuse is a very serious problem and I do not wish to trivialize it.

  • I work with a nutrition association that provides meals to the elderly. This is so common it's frightening. We train our voluteers to look for it when they deliver meals to homebound. If you know it's happening PLEASE contact your local state attorney's office. This is against the law!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we need to protect our aging population

  • Anyone who abuses or mistreats a senior should have their fingers snipped off one by one, with wire cutters. And that's all I have to say about that. :-D

  • @Garganchitha // it is not always family or strangers/neighbors, sometimes it is the gov and greedy people there too. See my channel for more info.

  • Its such a terrible thing... For most children growing up, there grandparents can be even more comforting then parent's in times of crisis. Especially for me...

  • Were was Mickey's wife in all this.. was she blind to the things that her son was doing to Mickey? Well God bless you Mr. Rooney, you will always be my favorite actor!!

  • I've seen people who in nursing homes just give up when they don't have any family members seeing them. I mean they don't eat, drink and get to the point where they become incontinent. Even worse is those people that have Alzheimer's or dementia. I mean since their not in their right mind some of them get aggressive and abuse does happen. So sad for those people who can't remember their abuser or can fight back verbally.

  • @redmustang03 My grandmother was in a nursing home, my uncle her son never came to visit her after taking all her money, my aunt never came to see her as well. my mom was the only one to visit her every week. Also none of my cousins ever came to see her.. My grandmother was beaten up, when my mom called my aunt and uncle to tell them they both insisted that she fell and no one hit her even though she had black eyes and said so........after my grandmother passed i cut them off.

  • "I was the number one actor... in the world... ya hear me? The world!" - Dana Carvey

    Love ya mick :)

  • SO HE DROOLED ? SO WHAT LETS SEE WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE AT AGE 90 !

PARTY ON MICK ! MY FAMILY WOULD HAVE CARED FOR YOU FRIEND ! GOD BE WITH YOU !

  • So, He is Broke ? OMG

  • I am so very happy that Mr. Rooney has spoken before the senate committee. God bless him! I am praying for him, and all those who have been or are in Mr. Rooney's shoes.

  • fuck people who are mean to the elderly these are our parents and grandparents for fuck sakes!!

  • this problem of elder abuse is rampant. What a brave man.

  • Brave Mr. Rooney. It takes America's greatest to bring to the forefront the evil that daily and routinely occurs in this country.

Yes, seniors are hounded for their worth in money, possessions and real state. If they insist of controlling their lives they'll manage to put them in a home, sedate them and plug them to a feeding machine till their gone for good.

  • Sure it's bad, and I was just watching him on a rerun of the show "Black Stallion" I used to love watching as a kid never missed a episode. What they dont tell you here people is that his "Abuser" is NOT his Real Son or close family, its his Step son who is the son of his current wife who is in his mid 50s. I have read into all this info out there alot and the Step Son seems like a greedy controlling Idiot! Wanting to take all Rooney's money and lock him away in a Room! Send Step-Son to Prison!

  • Two worst things to do in the world 1)abuse children 2)abuse old people

  • Respect those that came before you.

  • Dear Mickey Rooney,

I watched the evening news today and was moved to say 'thank you'. I grew up with you. You made me laugh, made me cry, put a song in my heart and for just a little while...you helped me forget about life's problems...It saddens me to hear about the abuses you suffered. You have done so much for others, it breaks my heart to hear how you were treated. We love you Mickey and I would be honored to have you live with me

  • I would never abuse the elderly...but I would make an exception in the case of both Mickey and Andy Rooney. I mean, look at the two of them! They are just asking for it.

  • @psb1964 May you never experience it yourself.

  • Most people in the United States of America are nothing but a greedy majority of scumbags. who is that black man next to him? bodyguard? sorry, just curious there.

  • @203207ab Now, I assumed "the black man next to him" was his attorney! Or possibly his assistant of some kind. Why not?

  • My brother inherited my fathers narcissistic personality, few years back he first killed my mother thru stress, I don't think he ment to but he moved in with her & milked money, caused stress thru arguing...she kept calling me crying....I say throw him out but she says she can't , he was her son...

Last time she said goodbye in a way she never has.....still not sure if it was a suicide or not

  • @IronicallyVague then my father has a stroke, after that stroke he milked my father out all of his money, scam after scam after scam...gets money for a car, sells it a week later, gets more money for anouther car, 2000.oo here 6ooo.oo thousand here - till there was nothing left maybe 85 or more? All that after he says constantly he was going to smother him with a pillow, money that should have been left to me

Then he caused his heart attack in an argument that killed him a few days later

  • @IronicallyVague - But what gets me is he will get away with it....I tried to stop him, talked to elderly care experts, doctors....But if my father is senile & mentally ill? he would lie that "Excitable Bill" ( his son) wasn't stealing everything he owned..

Sadly he'll get away with in my opinion 2 murders

  • @IronicallyVague - & of course the harm he also caused me & my family..Everyone else he's ever come across

    Never mind...No one cares

    Trust no one people

  • My Grandfather was told exactly the same thing as Mickey was.He was not even given a Funeral.

  • #2.For four days no water was given to him and no food until one of my cousins demanded he at least have water which he drank thirstily. I did not know what to do and it was too late, the pneumonia and the stroke took its toll.

In short 'EVERYTHING' Mickey says here happens ALL the time, especially if you trust someone and give them power of Attorney over you and your estate. There is very little or no regard at all given to the Elderly and piss poor care in every nursing home in Canada or USA.

  • Part one./ I love this man so much.My uncle had control over my Grandfather until he died. When Dad became angry at not having access to his money a Nursing Home was suggested to him.The idea appealed to Dad having people care for him so he allowed it.But I told him,"Dad once you go in getting out may be impossible".Sadly I was right. He died a year later from Pneumonia as he had suffered a massive stroke. No lifesaving measures were what he had on his Will. You know what they do?

  • Damn right!!! Mickey Rooney was my hero when I was 13 and he still is now that I am 66.

  • Amen indeed. A kinder more gentle man you'll never meet. In a world that has forgotten the dignity of man, he speaks for all of us now.

  • 1 person must have thought it was Cotton Hill instead of Mickey Rooney... who could dislike this man or the speech?

  • It is terrible when seniors are put in a position of losing their independence and power by elder abuse even by a caretaker such as a second wife...

  • You tell em' Mickey !

  • 1:24

  • You gotta love Mickey Rooney, he's a Hollywood legend.

  • Way to tell it... Mickey Rooney... You Rock! Best Wishes!

  • This man will live forever :)

  • Amen
