im curious about those red stains all over the carpet in before pics, what exactly happened to this thing before it was repoed? nice truck tho, good job on it
How did you re-blacken the wheel wells and plastic fairings ??? And how did you polish the headlights/signal lamps ?? I have a 96' Burbunator which I love, bought used in 2009.......
What did you use on the carpet to get all the stains out? For my old Jeep I actually took out the seats and then removed the entire carpet piece and sprayed every kind of carpet cleaner I could find on it and then pressure washed it and hung it over my fence. That worked alright but it's a lot of work and didn't get everything out.
The interior is just like my dads 99 but its WAY cleaner than that. Its even dirtyer than the before picture. and next year its mine cause i get my licence so i got a big job ahead of me. But im also lucky cause it only has 130,000 miles on it and the exterior is black and the bodywork is perfect. Im also unlucky because the tranny has a huge kick in it and will have to be replaced in the near future.
I love the Suburban. I have a 99 Suburban and when its clean it looks great. I clean mine like this (it just doesnt take that long because mine never EVER gets that dirty) but the only thing I hate about cleaning it is that its like 80 miles long and takes a long time to clean. Its a lot of car to get clean haha
wow i know its for a dealership and all but not many people would have took the time to do that to a suburban the 98 and the 99 suburban are my favorite years of the suburban and the 98 is what i want good job i woulda never thought it could look that good
You did a REALLY good job on this! But can i ask you how the HELL you got that carpet clean i have some VERY nasty stains in my '88 camaro and i can't get them out!
just sold my green and gold 96 suburban for 800 they come with the 5.7 350 let me tell you these body style suburbans taheos and silverados are fucking fast dont be fooled by the weight thoes 350s are badass my 96 suburban 0 to 60 in 9 secs
@mr350vortec did it have 4WD? by the way, i loved the 5.7 (350 ci engine), but i liked ford's 5.8 (351CI) engine whether it was the winsor, cleveland, or modified.
how'd u get those leather seats that clean? I gta '99 Yukon with tan leather interior & the seats gt sm dark spots on them but i havnt found nething that will really clean them that good.
Thanks for your work, you put another fine truck back on the road for another 100,000 + miles..its gunna enjoy life again!
gunna say maybe half of the people who watched this were thrilled to see a burban get rims and subs and be ruined..good thing they were dissapointed :)
thats so ture i got a 1996 suburban with the same motor as this one the 5.7L 350 vortec and it just need to be cleaned thats it clean carpets and floor and some work to the lights and maybe a good wax job lol its at 180,000 miles and it runs like brand new well it least to me lmao
@kendrickevans301 man i love fords but the thing is i love the trttons now the 5.8 are nice to but i had a 96 suburban 5.7L 350 and i raced a 95 5.8L f150 and won i hit 0 to 60 in 8.5 secs now if i was to race a triton v8 i would lose lol but i just sold the thing for $800 already so for now im in a sebring looking to buy a expedition
@mr350vortec lol, i'm suprised that the big ass 5,900 lb suburban beat a f-150. ut that is what i tell everybody, don't let size discourage you, my expedition has a 5.4 liter (331ci) triton v8 in it, and it goes 0-60 in about 9.0 sec. Aside the 5.4 being bigger, GM's 5.3 (327 ci) will burn the 5.4 triton anyday, don't know why, but it will. I wok for Ford MO CO on the f-series production line. the 5.8 was not bulletproof like everyone thinks. I also have a f-250 king ranch 4x4. Was ur truck 4WD?
@kendrickevans301 no just rear drive lol are you sure the 5.3 can beat a 5.4 i have a cushion with a 2006 f150 XLT and and a 2003 yukon the f150 has the 5.4L 300 hp triton and the yukon has the 5.3L 315 hp vortec and he says the f150 is way faster i raced him with my 5.7L 96 suburban and the f150 beat both vortecs the yukon wont even sit and do a burnout like the f150 and my 350 did
@mr350vortec possitive. Atleast the up 2 date 2011 5.3 can. I work for Ford Mo Co and i would not down talk my fellow CO lol. but i have to say it wil. size plays only a protion of the role in the performance DEPT.
@mr350vortec I'd take ford reason being i work for ford and i get employee discount lol. My channel's new so i don't have any vids. I should have vids in about a month. my Expedition is a 2009 king ranch equpped 4x4. I also have a 2009 superduty diesel 4x4.
@kendrickevans301 lol ok man thoes king ranches are very nice man for a 09 expedition ill do just about anything lol have you ever seen the f master flex edtiton i just seen one in person 3 days ago man thats a dream job to work for ford or chevy do you like dodges hemi
@mr350vortec I'm guessing f-master stands for flowmaster, correct me if i'm wrong but i have never seen or heard of that package, not trying to be rude, and not saying your wrong. I do like Chrysler's HEMI, but it's little short of power. GM's 6.2 liter has more hp and torque than the 5.7 liter HEMI.
@mr350vortec it's on youtube. if you want to see it, type on the search bar ( pickup trucks comparion), and you should see all of the 1/2 ton pickups you can think of: Toyota Tundra, Dodge Ram, Nissan Titan, Chevy Silverado, and GMC Sierra. The GMC and chevy were best in power, f-150 was best in uphill towing from 0 mph, differential type ( traction ability), fuel economy (because it has the smallest v8 out of all of them), and ground clearance,( I will complete this reply on another page)
@mr350vortec Like i was saying on the other page, Toyota Tundra was not good at anything but 0-60 loaded and unloaded, and uphill towing from 0. On the traction test, the dodge and nissan titan had to both be stoped and put into 4WD because they both functioned as a open ( single traction) diff in 2WD. All the titan got points at were at ground clearance, it was best out of all of the, 1st to the sierra. The dodge got points at styling, which was about it.
@mr350vortec Now the negatives, Ford lacked power from 0-60, but when you have a pickup truck, you don't look for power.Nissan lacked styling, being that is the same body style since it was first introduced, traction ability, the reason for this i stated on the reply before this, and handling, being the highest isn't always best ( high center of gravity) Dodge lacked ground clearance, power, and uphill towing because it has a long 2nd gear ratio.Toyota had very low running boards so bad ground c
@kendrickevans301 lol its ok man but know you see what im talking about thats my only problem with for is that all of the other brand trucks have more horse power ford need to do something on that 5.4 300 hp. now from what i heard im shocked that chevys vortec had the most power becuase i was almost sure that dodge would have taking that award last i checked dodges has a 5.7L 390 hp hemi v8 i didnt know that the vortec has more power now with makes that bad for ford now becuase that makes them
@kendrickevans301 with the smallest motor and less hp. now toyota tundras not good at all i really i dont hardly see them on the road as much as the other trucks like f150,ram,silverado etc so but i give it one thing it has a nice size motors but from you with all the trucks listed out there witch one had the best looks my dad is going with the chevys idk why but thats what he loves for some reason lol idk why youtube put this trying limit on here to lol
@mr350vortec Yeah man i agree, if you watch the video, you'll see that the ford f-150 was the best OVERALL. It was the best in uphill towing, from o because the 6speed transmission kept the engine rpms high which is what you need, best styling, and many people liked the " king ranch " package. the dodge's transmission wouldn't even let there motor rev at 3,000 rpm because it has a LONG 2nd gear ratio.
what type of paint did you use for the wheel wells. because i wanna do the same on my 2000 Honda Accord EX V6. instead of going through armor all everytime i wash or wax it.
Hi i have a similar problem but without all the garbage, could you help me, how did you clean the stains on the carpet and how did you clean the headlights? Also how did you paint the wheel wells and what did you use to make the metal on the grille shine and the one on the wheels? Thanks alot in advance.
Hi nice job... how could I clean the headliner of my truck?? is dirty with dust now is black in the rear but is tan!!! I was thinking in taking it off, but I don't want to do that so I want to clean it up but very clean help me please!!
The best thing I can recommend to you would be to lightly spray windo cleaner or something on it and gently rub with a soft cloth. Be careful u don't spray too much because too much can melt the glue and make the liner fall down!
i am only 15 and i wash my moms 2008 chevy i wash it vacume the inside do almost everything! my dad does the same with his truck i am only 15 and i love a clean car and i love doing it looks good in the end great job on that suburban looks great !!!
i try to keep my car clean but i am not perfect i try to wash my car once a mouth, then vacum it when it needs it about mouth a mouth, since i anot that dirty of person
I used a lot of stuff, definitely all purpose cleaner lol. Meguiars NXT 22.0 wax, rubbing compound, Oxy carpet cleaner, armor all, and a couple of little things but that's the BIG players LOL
That's funny hahaha, just goes to show ya how nasty some people are haha. It's good that he takes good care of it, I see a vehicle as an investment that should always be taken care of, why pay for something then trash it?!?! Doesn't make much sense to me! Thanks a lot!
I remember when I used to be a detailer I got out of it but you could always tell which trucks been through the mud pits. Mud all in the engine compartment the wheel wells mashed intro the carpet and door jams. I used to have to go around the trucks with all purpose and acid on the jams and motor then hit it with the power washer. People don't understand that detailing is demanding on the body and a dirty job lol
Very true indeed, it's good to know that there are people out there who truly understand. You definitely have to have the passion for it to be able to work as a detailer. I'm at school right now so I haven't been able to work in a while, looking forward to getting back lol!
