Basically Billie Joe's voice suits the Ramones well... hes singing it if it were a green day song. If he was imitating him it would be way more obvious.

Green Day isn't that type of band we see nowadays on TV all the time. They aren't lame acoustic players and they hardly ever sing about love. They sing a lot about hate and about troubled people. And if they DO make songs about love, it's in the way of the Kinks, the Beatles, and the Who - at least their 90s stuff.

Their drummer doesn't wear skinny jeans and shit. They use their instruments in a great way. Also, the Ramones is home for them - their 90s shit was all in the Ramones style.
