@locuraporcina bowie sang this brilliant song - with suitable panache and elan - on his 'thin white duke' tour of england and europe in the summer of 76. people fainted in the small, smoke-filled halls of london and amsterdam as bowie (playing a fascist) opened his heart in perfect tenor pitch to this - the first great homosexual lovesong since shakespeare's sonnets - in the english language. ray davies from the kinks also did an ironic version (to great applause) on his live shows in the 70s.
