  • Tracey Ullman is and was a great all round talent. Singer, actress and comedian. A ture talent. Her version of this old Debbie Allen country song is great, just as good as Allen's. I just love girl singers. I could never get one of them to sing to me while we were in bed just about to pop together. Wow, now that would be a real climax.

  • I didn't know she could sing! This is a great cover/remake of a great Kathy Mattea song.

  • tracy ullman did the remake

  • I didn't know Tracey Ullman could sing. I thought she was a comedian/actress only. She has a great voice.

  • Thanks for posting this!! Her "They Don't Know" single got all the airplay, but I never thought she did anything else... How she manages to cover so many dialects so seamlessly is amazing. She is mischievously beautiful.

I just didn't realize that she had other songs out besides

    that one.

I mean- we all thought Bernadette Peters was just

blonde curls, tits and ass- then she opened her mouth and sang!! Triple rarified DAMN!!

  • Takes me back to when I was a teenager I had this it was on one of my tapes I had of her ,god I forgot about this song thanks for posting great song....

  • ...ok. This is an amazing version also. Has anyone taken this to #1. The song is f'ing incredible.

  • this song hit #4 on the country charts for deborah allen, #26 on the pop charts, and #10 on the easy listening (now adult contemporary) charts. shannon brown hit #40 on the country charts a few years back with a remake. tracy's version was not a radio single, and thus did not chart. so, now it has not reached the top of any charts, but should, i agree.

  • big hit for deborah allen who wrote the song.....also done by country artist shannon brown which had a minor hit with it.

  • by the time deborah sang this tracy was in her 40's

  • this was a hit in the early 80's. i really don't think tracy was in her 40's then.

  • Thank You, I've only heard the Deborah Allen version of this song. It was an "Our Song", then I lost 2 of my Best Friends in a car wreck to Drunk Driver & Passenger, 15 & 18 yrs. old. Thank You again for posting & on the day after my 40th b-day!!! ;p C

  • Thank you for the song - Lovely voice

I only knew her as a very good comic -
