Another tourist scam by the Saudis and those who idolize the black box in Mecca. God does not need a place, temple or a kaaba. He is everywhere. Fools are those who face Mecca in prayer, even worse those who spend money to go on haj.
Why are the Architects trying to build a New York look a like?
The high rise buildings clustered together like that is out dated and to repeat such a design in Makkah is despicable. It has a negative affect on the inhabitants and promotes crime and depression. The architects should look at a traditional stone work buildings like Masjids in Egypt or Span and build closer to the ground. It will keep the community together and be more harmonious.
InshaAllah this will never happen already that tall buiding with the clock make me feel bad :) Well one of the last time signs is when beduins compete in building tall building look whats happening now in that area. May Allah guide all of us:)
yes every year muslim population grow so where they will stay in makkah at the time for hajj they are doing because we can have comfortable hajj. and omra. but on airport they are so slow just sit and talk. they are so slow compare to world standard they must do fast

How bout changing Mekka so its more accessible to everyone and making the lives of worshippers easier. Expanding the mosque and making it more spacious and creating a more beautiful sensible praying environment.

Becuase, there is limited quota for every country to allow pilgrims to come from entire world because the Holy Makka can only afford about 2.5 million pilgrims at a single time, and there is only 1 day to perform Hajj, though it starts few days before to perform other required Manasik of Hajj. I would rather say it should be expanded to near by cities to give the opportunity to maximum possible muslims to do it once in their lives.
The land, the stones, the gold, the installments the ornaments whatever are used in order to adorn it have no worth at all.... it is the reward that will account to give opportunity to the followers to perform what they wish to do once in their life time. Can you imagine, there are millions of people die every year without performing Hajj, even they are performing namaz 5 times a day... and keep tearing in love to just do it at least once but the opportunities dont come to their door steps. why?
No human can harm Bait-ul-Allah, its home of Allah. He has taken the security of its in his hand so what are we to say it is not good? Lets pray and hope for the good. We must have it expanded to accommodate 2billion muslim followers at a single time... Cant you imagine it that way?

Bait-ul-Allah is the only place which is built for entire humanity. There is NO WAY to distinct a shia from sunni, an arabic from a non-arabic, an african from asian, no body is rich, nobody is poor.. all are at the same level in the same prayer area in front of the same Allah for the sake of same reason! This place has to accommodate more and more people who are dispersed when they are out of its reach but unit when they come under its boundaries.
The saying that people quote is true but has a completely different concept. The adorning of Masajids is a sign of qayamat but only those masjids which are built for selected sects or group of people who have created their own part in islam. One sect does not know what the other sact does. Like Sunni dont go to perform Namaz in Immam bargah and neither Shia goes to a Suni Masjid. Why? That is the thing which is strictly prohibited in Islam which means "DO NOT SPLIT IN SACT OR GROUPS".
The remake of the entire city worth needed, there is lots of space required to perform Namaz and other essentials, water, sewerage, air ventilation, hot/cold water, escalaters for children and old people, there are so many 100s of thousands of requirements if taken care will give fair chance to more and more people in a single time to perform the world's best and most wanted religious act in history. So why not they use technology and money to give more and more facilities to the entire world?
I dont know why people are pessimistic! Today Makka accommodate about 3million pilgrims. In future it is going to accommodate about 10-20 millions how would you accommodate them on a single day of Hajj? Tell me? How would they perform all religious celebration for Hajj? For such large population coming from round the world will create a huge amount of requirements which have to be fulfilled without compromising any single religious celebration.

@ahleSunnah100 They are really trying to expand everything for the sake of money. They want to build hotels and shopping malls and earn instead of making the facilities of hajj more better. They should first see to the transportation and traffic system. Think about the traffic they have when people travel from Namera to Mujdalefa people have to walk for about 5 km at night and there are some who are disabled but they do it in the name of Allah.

Don't make this happen please... Makkah is a place of worship to Allah SWT, not a place to adorn mosques, etc! Why should we follow other religion? Is not how modernized a mosque should be but it is a place of tranquility to pray! Do you realize what Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The signs of the last hour is when Muslims start adorning mosques just like the Christians adorn their churches! Makkah is already beautiful itself, please don't change it.

I dont know why people are pessimistic! Today Makka accommodate about 3million pilgrims.
