  • oh and by the way, for the sti lovers, I raced a stock sti when my s2k was stock too and i got it by .4 sec. I was on mickey thompson et street radials just to keep up with the all wheel drive system the sti has. But considering that the sti is turbocharged and mine was NA, that says a lot about s2ks...

  • hey, i just wanted to know what specs you have in the s2k and how many psi... I have a greddy turbo s2k but they wont let me race on the track without a roll cage... I just need this info for approximation... thanks...

  • @cbeck611 yeah... they said because it is a convertible and they only allow me 13.5 secs. well, i cracked 13.36 with the nitrous alone without the turbo at the moment and they kicked me out... I went back there and the tech guys saw my turbo and nitrous and they automatically said no...

  • Even a stock S2000 is quick as fuck. That car's just amazing. You get performance, gas millage, reliability, looks, and everything for a decent price.

  • my comment said the best 2L, not 2.5L. any retard can make a ton of torque with a bigger engine, look at American engineering. F1 cars don't make much torque, but they can beat the torque-monster trains. make sense?

  • even the 2L aren't all turbo charged its the format. and yeah f1 cars make a ton of torque look at both the Mclaren , and mercedes amg cars for f1 series. Torque is essential to acceleration. and yes the 2L boxer engine n/a make just as balanced torque and hp.

  • ahahha there are about 4 local 12 second or faster subarus and they've all blown up at LEAST once (all with VERY reputable parts and tunes) and yet we have the worlds 2nd fastest stock turbo EVO (11.2 @ 119). s2000's are reliable as HELL and can take 700whp on a 100.0000% stock motor, plus they are fantastic motors for track cars. YOU DON'T NEED TQ WHEN YOU CAN ALWAYS KEEP THE REVS BETWEEN 6 AND 9K RPM LOL. EJ's are overly complicated to work on (ask me how i know) for no reason. subarus suck.

  • ive built both the 4g and the Ej25. subaru have a more ballance power band, and i have seen with my own 2 eyes a f20-c turbo blow from 13 psi, they arent bullet proof i hate that rumor. and yo uhave to have torque to accelorate, horse power does not make you accelorate that is torque. your a complete idiot if you think any car will be able to even move without torque

  • At higher speeds Torque gives way to Hp thats why Hondas have better top end power.

    Given the track is longer and the race is longer (like 30 or 40 minutes) with the Honda on high end rpm's the Subaru's Torque and 4wd set up would be to its detriment.

    Thats why 2 idetical cars with one a 4wd car set up to the same specs the 4wd would lose i the long run.

    In this course when accelaration is the game 4wd & torque counts, in a long race Hp and 2wd wins (less refueling also)

  • 1:Stock EVOs do NOT hit the 1/4th in 11.2 seconds.

    2:EJs are NOT hard to work on. They are actually quite easy.

    3:S2Ks can NOT handle 700hp of boost. Not with an 11.5:1CR.

    4:You shouldn't HAVE to rev an engine to 9K rpm for power. That's asking for trouble.

    1:EJs (WRX, Twin Turbo, & STi) can also hold 700+whp. However, just like the 4G, it will last VERY shortly. End result? Even (Both engines have been reported to hold that much power before exploding).

    2:4Gs have higher CR than EJ, meaning that a mistake in raising the boost will be very costly. Raise the boost in an EJ & experience very little faults.

    3:In terms of reliability, EJ definitely takes the win. Not even a contest. EJ is also one of the most reliable engines on earth.

  • @carmodifire Actually Mitsubishis' 2.0L 4G63 is the best in terms of power. The F series is the most powerful N/A though.

  • of course an s2000 will pull in a STi, but it is sorry that an s2000 have to spend so much money just to keep up or maybe beat an STI or Evo....just get a real turbo car and stop talking smack..... remember awd turbo cars are a benchmark on performance not an s2000

  • The S2000 is usually 3 to 4 thousand dollars cheaper (MSRP). I like it the way it is (stock). And it does keep up with evos and sti, just not the new ones. And I have already installed two turbos with megasquirts and other whistles for under $1500. So...

  • lol this videos a joke. Ive seen stock STis into the 13.2 range. the s2000 with a turbo ran a 13.5. My guess is its a bone stock WRX with some cheap gold wheels and an STI trunklid.
