in the rear and the 6 speed trans guess what that too has to be with the 5.7l SR5 model only which starts at 40k i dont want to pay 40k for a truck to do what i want were i can buy ford chevy gmc or dodge for 35k that will have all of that plus more

The only benefit with OHC is a higher RPM limit, and what's the rev range on a pickup truck when you need low end grunt? ohv is not more dependable. its just easier to put in a truck. how does cam placement in an engine make it more reliable?

My Made in America (of mostly American parts) 2500HD Duramax is both more powerful and gets better milage than any of those... I've seen 24mpg highway..

The only benefit with OHC is a higher RPM limit, and what's the rev range on a pickup truck when you need low end grunt? ohv is not more dependable. its just easier to put in a truck. how does cam placement in an engine make it more reliable?

i work for asplundh we have been around since the 1930s we have tried ford, dodge, toyota, gmc ect.. our trucks spend the main part of there lives off road and trust me we put our trucks thru hell and we have always gone back to buying gm trucks after trying other brands they just havent held up like gm has for us also ill give an update we just ordered a fleet of 2012 tundras as demos for the company so ill let everyone know if they are any better

There r alot of 5.7s out there no shity chevy had a quad cam set up with twin vvti mine get 22.3 mpg and chevy was using sparkplug wires up to recently that oldschool and don't lose cylnders and it reliable . Ohh for a great truck with 90yr on it .it has tundra s front suspension and hondas vvti bmw dynamic breaking american my ass mexican over priced crap layed off americans to open up shop in china they suck never have a chevy

@rf21072 Really? Then who pays the people to make the parts that are made in America, who pays the Texans that build the truck? I'm sorry but you are VERY misinformed. The "profits" you speak of account for 5% of the total amount of money that goes into building the truck. That means that 5% of the money goes over seas while 95% stays here in America. The Tundra is more American than a Ford or Chevy, go look at the cars .com American Made Index.

@carlover2013 Nope.... 80% of the Tundra is North American, more North American than any other truck sold here. Ohio makes the sheet metal, motors are made in Alabama, transmissions also. MOST American truck, and a lot of people, including me, have the papers and sites to prove it......do some research before ranting on please....thank you...
