its funny because im playing the game on easy and this is my first death in the game. I CANT GET PAST THAT DAMN SHOWER!!! Seriously this has got to be the most unbalanced game I have ever played

this level was impossible for me on medium. I actually had to restart the game on easy mode just to get passed this bullshit level

for people playing on the pc I found turning off vsync helps ALOT. The controls are less delayed and this mission is easier. Still insanely hard but atleast passable

this made me rage quit so many times... this made me dislike dead space... i love the story but this part made the game to hard you have to wait for your damn gun the astroids are retarded fast and the cannon after shoots like once ever 3 sec when you have to shoot the fukin things at like 4 clicks a sec :D !!!

@djbethell no its not..the meteors are slow, less in number and come from one side at a time...i ended it in easy mode too..only messed up twice :/

@lightThatcherry Strange, I was stuck on hard forever, then went through the whole game on easy and for me the meteors were still exactly the same as hard. Took three hours on easy; sometimes they were slower, like you say, but most times they were fast, furious and from all over the place! Then just to see I tried hard from another save and it was definitely the same. But this time got it in two. Whooop!

I was FULLY RELIEVED after i cleared this mission. I made it at the first round, but hardly any other game got me so fully on alert. This is one of the BEST parts of this game... Afterwards i stood there for about 15 Minutes, watching the automatic... and lowering my adrenaline-level. Dead Space is a WIN! Totally.

actually, the PC version is complete shit and aiming is retardedly difficult. Don't believe me? Go to control panel > mouse > pointer options and uncheck 'enhance precision'. That's what it feels like to play Dead Space on the PC.

@dudstncm Agreed. They were really lazy with the PC version. The aiming was really clunky and felt impossible at longer ranges. Hopefully Dead Space 2 improves this... Would hate to see that the aiming sucks in Multiplayer where being a spitter requires you to be at a long distance and aim your "shots"... We'll see.

Using an Xbox 360 controller actually made Dead Space easier. Lol. :D

And this Asteroid thing was the only part I died to on my playthrough. It F*cking sucked.

You can always tell what kind of system a player is using. If you're thinking to yourself: "I don't see what the big deal is, I beat this on my second try..." Congratulations on being a PC user...the targeting must be rather simple and easy if you're using a mouse. But take my word for it as a console user, trying to quickly and accurately target those rocks on thumbsticks is INCREDIBLY difficult unless you're gifted with extreme dexterity. I've finished this once out of dozens of trys...

if you are desperate, lower all your settings and resolution to very low. Mouse sensitivity should be heightened and brightness high.

Incredible!!! after I saw this f...g video, I got it!!! My Tv is 42" and I stood 1 meter in front of Tv (Very close), and I worried with the largest meteors (obviously I destroyed the smalls too....), because the largests make more damage... I got it with only 19%, but no problem... it was the 2nd try!!!!

For those confused about the crashes not making any sounds; in space, there is no air. Sound needs air to travel, and without air, sound can not travel from its "origin point" to your ear.
