Great upload! Sadly we live in a time where how to dress for an interview has been forgotten. With your informative and entertaining uploads, you can ensure that the men who don't get their desired position, weren't rejected because of appearance!
I never had any male figure who was able to tell me this and I just wanted to say that this is great advice. Thanks for the help as try to figure this stuff out.
Hey Aaron. I need your urgent help. My employer has invited me for our first meeting to lunch. The size of his company is small and he is young himself. I don't have any Idea how he is going to dress. But knowing that the restaurant is not to classy not to casual, don't you think it's kinda ridiculous if I show up with suite and tie and maybe he is only going to wear a shirt and a pair of jeans? I am 27 btw. Thank you so much in advance
also... keep the cufflinks plane and silver/steel rather than gold, never do gold, unless yuou wanna look like an extra from Casino, make sure the shoes are lace ups and dont catch on ur trousers/pants
Top tip.. do not wear matching earings.. also state the obvious at all times, 'nice' isnt the best advice either, my advice.. wear a fitted suit, shirt with a slim collar and a tie that doesnt exceed 5cm at base, colour.. navy blue suit, white shirt, tie - deep red silk - pattern optional, black shoes. brown is for party time, also match your belt and keep it subtle, short back and sides hair, no earings, main thing is know your shit.. clothes dont wineth the job.. good luck
I'm a 19 year old male, and i've been wanting to improve my wardrobe. I have plenty of polos, but i want to incorporate some nice pants, shoes, and dress shirts into my style to give myself a more professional, adult image. Unfortunately clothing is rather expensive and i dont have very much money. Where would you recommend i go to find nice clothing for a cheap price?
Aaron can you make one of your upcomming videos about accessories? I notice you wear two studs. Also would like to know your views on watches, rings etc...
Hi, I am a 28 yr old male having long hair. Will it be alright to tie the hair up in a neat ponytail for the job interview, or will you suggest getting a haircut? Suggestions?
Tough question. I hate to tell you to cut your hair if you like it. I wouldn't go in with a pony tail, maybe try a neat tight bun thing. I don't know what to call it, but the hair is held in back of your head (like a Samurai) and not falling down your back. If this doesn't look good or you are worried about it, get a haircut and once you get the job, start growing it out again. I have also seen some "longish" styles that look very good, see what you can find.
Thanks Aaron for the suggestion. I am from India, and I don't think I can pull off a samurai look. I think my best bet is to get a haircut, or hope that techies don't mind long haired interviewees! Oh, and one more question... would you suggest wearing a suit to an interview with Google/Microsoft and such, where the dress-code is uber-casual? I am worried if I wear a suit there, I will feel overdressed and awkward. Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks.
do you wear earrings? hard to tell with the camera

good advice Aron. The one thing that also makes an impression, is making sure your coat-trousers are not covered in dog or cat hairs.
well it annoys me at least, so simple to quickly brush yourself down

I just want to say your videos are great and thanks. Men's fashion has been overtaken by gays, and it's good to get an alpha-male prospective.

If I wear a suit, do I have to wear a tie as well? I hardly ever wear a suit and I don't want to appear TOO dorky...

If you are going on an interview, I would recomend wearing the tie. Take it off once you are done.

Thanks for the advice! What would you recommend that women need to wear when going to an interview at a cold place, especially shoes?

LOL
"extra from casino"
i guess it WOULD be fit for a sleazy car salesman.
it'd be so funny if i went to an interview with a gold rope chain with a huge swinging dollar-sign medallion.

Could i just wear long sleeve white dress shirt and khaki pants and dress shoes to an interview?
MetallicDethX 2 years ago
I wouldn't . Now if it is a job that you are going to make like $5 an hour...maybe it would be okay. Why take the chance?

make sure you shave. Not shaving is a sign of laziest. Trust me my manager told me so and he hates people with facial hair.

If your gonna go in with a goate or something just make sure its clean and groomed.
