  • "They needed to figure out the exact paths that the electrons took and how far apart they were from the nucleus ,and they needed to figure out all that crap! " Lmao!

  • I completed Hon. Chem (Grades A and B) and 1 semester of AP Chem (B) in high school... And I am learning more from this series...

  • @Puffsmeal they will not hit each other. Electrons are negatively charged and therefore repel one another.

  • @puffsmeal electrons avoid each other. They have a negative charge, so are opposed to each other. It's kinda like taking the negative sides on two magnets and trying to stick them together. They just push away. (just for a simple representation)

  • Shell 1 can hold 2x1²,

    shell 2 can hold 2x2²,

    shell 3 can hold 2x3²,

    shell 4 can hold 2x4²,

    shell 5 can hold 2x5²,

    shell 6 can hold 2x6²,

    shell 7 can hold 2x7².

  • @AndrewJeffersons

Only having seen basic chemistry at school we more or less saw the I hope familiar thing of, 1 in the closest orbit, 8 on all else.

Any idea where that comes from? Or is is just plain wrong?

  • @Londron It's true that the second shell can hold 8 electrons. Here's the math: " 2*(TheShellsNumber*2) " - Which is equal to 8.

3rd shell can hold 18 electrons

    4th shell can hold 32

    And so on.

  • @AndrewJeffersons

Ow I hate how you learn shit wrong in school first -_-.

    Thanks.

  • @Londron No problem :)

  • reason why bohr was wrong electrons dont orbit they move in a cloud where they are freely moved

  • What happens if the electrons hit each other?

  • Rhob slein is a genius ..

  • Btw, the "Hydrogen" that we usually refer to has 0 neutrons.

There are two other "Hydrogens" which the first one has 1 neutrons and the second has 2 neutrons.

  • Niels Bohr is danish =)

  • @nibbel94 Just shut up already

  • @fanreymysterio619 the next videos are better

  • @nibbel94 Every video is

  • I've been enjoying this series! I'm studying English and these tutorials are so helpful since you explain it that simple which helps me a lot!!!

I can't await when you declare topics that I haven't had at school

  • Chemistry is such a Bohr

  • Bucky Great job keep going with all tutorials!

  • Bucky, only continue these of you're really gonna explain advanced stuff.

99% of us already know this.

  • It should be : Where 'da fuck are the electrons ???

  • @NardiNardi81 haha

  • @NardiNardi81 More like Where da fuck are the Adobe Premiere Pro lessons?

    oh, and the electrons too!

  • @NardiNardi81 YOU GOT A REPLY FROM BUCKY!

    ...

    *jealousy

  • @shawnio What do you mean? I think they're pretty good...

  • @shawnio Ridiculous. Thats the word.

  • under 300 club ftw (no one cares :( )

  • first.

  • First

    Awsome vids tnx

  • Are there going to be experiments? Or just teaching like this? Either way its awesome :D
