The Supreme Court shot down many of FDr's New Deal proposals because they were unconstitutional, but as soon as he scared them with expanding the # of justices, they SUDDENLY did an about face concerning the New Deal. Well I finally got around to watching the video where she told the Canadian broadcaster that Canada sent troops to Viet Nam. Big deal, she obviously heard that Canadians served in Viet Nam and she got it mixed up that Canada itself sent troops to Viet Nam. Wow, I just can't see any scenario where that could possibly happen. Hey Baker, when I was in school for the Navy, they said the top 5 students would get to choose their orders (where they'd be stationed). That was something to shoot for so I went for it. I was #2 the whole time and couldn't overtake a 33 year old woman from Canada. I also served with many Phillipinos that could hardly speak the language. Well I finally got around to watching the video where she told the Canadian broadcaster that Canada sent troops to Viet Nam. Big deal, she obviously heard that Canadians served in Viet Nam and she got it mixed up that Canada itself sent troops to Viet Nam. Wow, I just can't see any scenario where that could possibly happen. The broadcaster could have said (if he indeed knew), that individual Canadians on their own served, but I'm sure it fit his agenda better to watch her twist in the wind.

If you believe govt is a necessary evil and needs to be as small as possible. That people should be responsible for themselves and that families are more likely to stay together and help each other out if govt stays out of it, and that u should look to church and charity over govt, ur a conservative and watch FOX. @gcxred4kat9 I read the daily telegrapg, which is a conservative paper and watch news from Sky, BBC, ITV and sometimes FAUX and CNN, so what am I (osmeone with too much spare time perhaps??). I beleive the people (via the gov) have a role in looking after each other, hence Police, Firemen, Armed Forces, Education and SOCIAL SERVICES, but this is NOT FREE. Churchill helped introduce gov pensions and expoanded the NHS, he also didn't like women getting the vote !! lol

IF you give $1 to the Salvation Army how much is spent on AMDINISTRATION ??..it's 90cents, so not always the most efficient method is it? Also,l don't he wealthier areas collect more than the poor areas in charity? I don't goto Faux BECAUSE IT HAS A POLTIICAL DIMENSION, if (like the German Democratic Republic), if you need to state you are fair and balanced then you probably aren't!

They cut the "single" mom a check if the dad isn't around. Just what the hell did they think was going to happen? They knew they'd be creating more democrat voters is what would happen. @bakersteven3 "Gerrymandering" is use dby all political parties, we had a case in the UK where the local Conservatives (Lady Porter) sold public housing in certain areas to Conservatives only to increase their vote ! If the USA has a marriage rate of 100% but a divorce rate of 50%, then you have children in homes with only 1 person running it ! I'd rather 2 people not married bringing children up. I speak as an unmarried fathe rof 3, who has lived with his partner for over 20 years! But seen many many marriages fall apart, eg Royal family?

They joined OUR armies as Canadians not as US Citizens because their country wouldn't "fight". Canada did not "provide" troops,Canadians came over to join OUR troops. Canada DID supply Ammunition, Agent Orange, Napalm and humanitarian needs. It's not MY argument. Sweden was POLITICALLY NEUTRAL in WW2, as was Canada in Viet. as was US 1939-1941. Canadian troops were in WW2.

@loren719 Sweden did allow Norwegian mateirlas to go through it's land to germany during WW2, but who can blame them ? Candada was right at the start of WW2, providing pilots (as did 9 US volunteers) for the BoBritain, they also had substantial troops on DDay, helping the UK/Commonwealth contingent to be over 50% of the troops/airmen landed that day (yes private Ryan! lol). The fact is ANN was mistaken and didn't have the grace to accept that, we all make mistakes..even me!

Windsor Ontario has a privately funded memorial for the Canadians who died in Vietnam. Canada, being strongly anti-war had no veteran's organizations to care for these men, unlike the US.
