Okay. I understand the everyone wants the movie to be like the book, but they never are. There are so many things in Harry Potter that aren't nearly as close to being the same. And just look at Twilight. Understand that producers and directors change things to make it more audience friendly. I mean, would you want to go see sexy Alex Pettyfer if he was all furry?? I wouldn't. They still want him to look somewhat attractive so people will still see it. He's ugly for most of the movie people.

The director really screwed the movie up. First and worst, Vanessa should not be playing the lead girl, she is ugly inside and out, and a horrible actress. Plus she should be a red head! Second, the beast should be beastly, not freaky and gross. I might be able to look past the second issue, but Vanessa Whore Hudgens is the reason I won't be seeing it.

I loved the animated Beauty and the Beast & the story's message. I don't know what to think about it yet, but it might be good. It has good characters and the cast looks amazing: Vanessa as the Beauty, Alex as the Beast & Mary Kate looks awesome as the Enchantress/Witch.

Reason to watch this film: Vanessa Hudgens. She elevates the material to a level the Twilight films could never reach. The morons at CBS films don't know how to market films so their other two films from 2010 did poorly (the Charlie St. Cloud excuse was bull) and now they can't afford to release or market Beastly. Lesson learned? Don't do movies with CBS films. Vanessa Hudgens should be making blockbusters every year but all Hollywood can think of is crap. She's too talented for them.
