I live in Maryland too. I have to agree awd honestly is a must. My brother has a 2006 is250 with a twin turbo and it hasn't failed him one. Go to Lexus of Rockville. My dad manages the whole place and it's ranked like the second most successful dealership in the country. They will do you good trust me.

Man sorry to burst your bubble, but you arent the bomb cause you do a bogus 120 on the freeway. There also is NOT a turbo made for the is250, only the is350(in which is 15,000 from tom's). This vid is a fail.

I agree that this vid is BS, but you don't need a "kit" to turbo a car. You can turbo any car. Remember, turbines are universal. All you need is the piping and the tune, which can all be custom tailored to your car at just about any tuning shop. How the engine responds to FI is a different story.... but some of the most powerful turbo cars out there have their setup custom fabricated instead of buying a "kit" off the shelf.

True that atreyu BUT the compression on the is250 is 12:1 and is350 11.8:1 meaning that w/o alot of work you can't do over i think 5 pounds of boost, rendering a turbo almost useless.

Yeah, but you can lower the compression ratio, too. Companies like Crower and Wiseco make universal pistons and rods to help you do it, or you could use a head spacer (which i wouldnt). Granted, a 'kit' would probably ensure best reliability since its easy to screw up a retrofit job.

Very true..but when you do that you have to change fuel maps and timing and such and the toyota ECU has yet to be cracked. Supposedly Tom's in japan cracked the ecu and they got an extra .6 pounds of boost from doing so..its really just alot of trouble.
