You perhaps think, war history started with WW2 or 1? Then gather information about the wars that stroke Europe severely (30-Years-War (=one of the cruelest), 100-Years-War, 7-Years War and so on.
Europe, it´s cities, towns were consistently and heavily devastated, an these experience shape the behavior of the European people.

It´s no necessity to underline, that the US - like every country - has all rights to strike back when attacked. But there was no attack coducted by Iraq, that country hasn´t attack the US. The reason of the campaign against Iraq was a reason that is regularly taken up by US politics, and if you are able to gather information in internet and appropriate books , you´ll find out that every greater war waged by the US had it´s groundwork in economical aims.

the thing is, we arent at war with IRAQ, we are working with their police and military force (whats left of it) to try and rid what we call "terrorism" by the terrorists and religious extremists. They have their own flag, and have replaced most of the IRAQI ones within their country with theirs also (according to books, war diaries) which signifies a new country they are trying to establish. We are helping the iraqis oppose it.
