The robot that pulls chell back inside is just called the party escort robot! After it pulls chell back in it pulls the pieces of glados back in too! Then over time the parking lot was crushed and eventually ended up as a wheat field!

valve said they origanaly wanted the party escort to be this evil robot that chases you and lurks around corners and such through the last half of the game, they later simply added this ending (that i cant find D:) to just do that, as well as show why chell didn't run to get the hell a' way from aperature science as soon as GLaDOS blew up, if they actually put it into the original game that would be freaky and awsome at the same time.

GLaDOS talks about this Party Escort in the game. It's a robot that destroys all hope of Chell being free by dragging her back into Aperture Laboratories. It's what Valve did to explain how Chell got back into Aperture in Portal 2.

I read that that thing that drags you off puts you into a stasis chamber and that portal 2 takes place hundreds of years later. One thing that i don't understand is that Glados is in pieces in the video but in a picture of the sequel she's put back together. also nobody rebuilds the chambers so their full of plants

Hundreds of years later, trees grow around/under her, lifting her off the ground, etc. etc. etc... Then you go through Portal 2... so far as I know
