The roach thing isn't inhumane. So long as they're kept warm, fed, and watered, they're fine. When you're done wearing them, take the chain off and put them back into their enclosure to rest. The stones and glue don't harm the roaches. Gassing them with noxious chemicals to kill them painfully and slowly is cruel if you really want to go down that avenue. Besides, when the roach molts, all the stuff will come off of it. Paris Hilton is more cruel, using a dog as an accessory.

i like bigmuddy1's idea of a big t-shirt dress. when you think about it, though, it wouldn't be that hard. take, like, one of your dad's old t-shirts and make sure it fits right. adjust the sleeves or whatever you need to do. then you can get creative and make a little belt or whatever you want and fix it up to look pretty :)

I bought one and they dont actually sell the roach with the cool jewels & swarovski on and they used crappy silver and brooch, very different from what they been showing online & on TV appearance and YouTube Videos.The roach that they sent me has a damage antennae.I ordered it online and had'nt I call them they would not send it & follow-up the order and they have poor customer service at Black Chandelier.

the little ugly always in your house that live in sewers and come in via your toilet, floorboards, windows, etc., are the diseased ones. a hissing cockroach as a pet usually comes straight from the rain forest, or at least "farms" where the cleanliness of the cockroaches is crutial to their survival in captivity. therefore no, hissing cockroaches specifically are not as gross as the ones that poop in your pantry.

Also, I saw a thing about those cockroaches on ripley's, and They don't feel a thing. They go into hibernation for about 3 months of the year, and they stick the crystals on during that period.
