What people dont understand is that when Laura rejected him they were still in school, and they were young...and at that time girls wanted the studs and the sterotype of what a hot boyfriend is. When Laura turned into a woman, she looked into steves soul, and saw that he was the stud that she was looking for the whole time. which is why they got married....laura matured into a woman, and she eventually knew what she wanted. Any guy that does things like this for a girl is worth HER TIME. :)

Twice, Steve was extremely clumsy, and the third time, Steve tried to meddle in her love life by chasing away Daniel Wallace (although Laura later couldn't fully blame Steve for that because Wallace intended to only get her to put out and then leave her). Eddie only did once to get into a sorority.

Myra was dumb too, because her breakup was just a ploy to get Steve to undo his changes he made to his personality in the final season and give up on Laura forever. On the other hand, Steve was going to break up with her that very night anyway, so both Steve and Myra screwed each other.

Steve shouldn't have pretended to commit to Myra when he couldn't get over his feelings for Laura, so that's his bad there. The episode "Paradise Bluff" in season 6 should have been the last episode where he even thought about Laura, because nothing he said when he agreed to go steady with Myra suggested he would continue lusting over Laura.
