@bs22343 i haven't learned the French national anthem at school...even the players did not sing...this is bad.. :( there's no patriotic thing here in France...it's sad we forget our own country stuff...

Actually, if you would care to look at some of Napoleon's campaigns, his attack on Russia was met with dismal failure due to the climate. It might also be noted that the French fought the British for years. It can also be said that they stood no chance against the might of the German blitzkrieg and had no real choice otherwise.
