Nice editing for your first video. I love the camera flash at the beginning.  I disagree with the comment by Len828 about filter effects. While they aren't professional they're a lot of fun. So, have lots of fun with them and use them to see what works and what doesn't. They help you learn. You shouldn't restrict yourself with the software. The more you play, the more you learn.
