wow, somebody with some flippin common sense on here. if you watch the video the guy on the raptor (size is not an issue) does get a jump on the ltr. the way I look at it is that anybody can go fast in a straight line, its on a track or woods loop where you seperate the men from the boys

Wow. The 700 raptor was a mistake of design. People and reviewers say its a race bike but my best friend raced one and the whole motor had to be rebuilt after a week of racing. Secondly the raptors were made for top end stock and the ltr450 comes stock with bottom-end sprockets ready for race tracks. Power the ltr wins. Top speed the 700 wins. Torque the ltr wins. The ltr is the better bike but in this retarded drag the race was about top speed and thats the only thing the 700 has to offer.

@MeatCactus there is no replacement for displacement, period. 700 has a 450 in power anyday. proves u have no idea what your talking about just from that. if the 700 has more speed the gearing has to be taller, and u have to have the torque to turn the wheels. on that note how does the ltr have more torque if the 700 can pull a taller gearing?

That might be true but taken out of context. We have no idea what the mods were on your friend's machine or the xx's mods. Plus who knows what kind of rider the XX had on it. The XX is a very fast machine, especially modded. I've ridden LTZ450's and Raptors in stock form. I know my XX is as fast or faster.
