I like very much this painter Gugulia. I put in my Favourites right now. Excellent!! It is a pity that the music doesn't work... I think that Youtube is cutting all melodies that have copyright... incredible!
@marta0478 i,m happy via this venue you could learn about gorky more. for the music absent i,m really sorry. unfortunately so called copyright owners don,t seem to realize that these works are free pr for them. maybe it needs more time. anyway, thank you so much for commenting.
Don't worry about not having any music accompanying this video. All his paintings sing to you anyway, some sad, some happy and some very nostalgic songs. I've seen most of them in an exhibition and needed no music to appreciate their depth of beauty and pain.
amazing use of colors and the abstract medium. Great works of art . Thanks for posting and as always you have wonderful postings. Thank you , thank you .......
the song is taken. some good doer kept reporting some of my video audios about songs that are ON youtube in a thousand versions still. i still hope you enjoyed the visuals. thanks...
great video, buti wish you made it with just the first painting(the artist and his mother)i love that painting his mother died in the genocide but he found the best way to immortalize her
the zooming! always with the zooming!! is no good the zooming I tell you! ....bad it is! next video you have, no zooming, ok, song is dramatic enough..
Yes =) It's just that you can only see the whole picture (as Gorky finished it and there for how it should be viewed for full appreciation) for a fraction of a sec. After that we start losing bits of it, and that changes the picture, and that changes what we feel =/ The very edge of the canvas (or what ever) can be almost as important as bits in the middle. You can zoom in and the pictures are still great but they are not as great.
Gorky is my hero. Certainly the best artist (along with his friend Master Bill) who ever worked in this country. Why must tragedy so often follow genius? Nice tribute video.
i think because genius is outside the trend and the line, never servilic, never running for fame and money, always true and honest... thank you for comment.
Thanks for making this video. When thinking of Gorky it's hard not to think of the tragedy that his life was, which can easily lead one to look at his paintings through a romanticized lens--which can happen with any other artist. However, that is not necessary here for Gorky's paintings speak for themselves. A truly underrated artist, he remains one of my favorite modern painters.
i,m so glad you could see your loved paintings here too. making this video was very important for me. i wanted to tribute gorky this way too. i was long thinking about the music, and finally stopped at this beautiful piece. thank you for your comment.
I am surpised out of 188 viewers four have commented. Armenians ought to be more attentive to this artistic genius messiah, who said so much and few only heared, painted avidly and handful appreciated, cried so intensely and none listened.
O Armenians, open your eyes and his box of treasures, as you will be enlightened!
