  • cant have peace without war. its a part of life

  • R u guys telling me that the soliders do not degrade the people in afgan aswell as abuse their powers.(was Reading through all the comments) I think that the soliders should come home becuase why do they have to risk their lives for smothers home land

  • I watch a lot of videos from Iraq and Afghanistan and there is a lot of people dissing the soldiers on behavior or just about them being in the war, I think its important to remember that there will always be rotten apples among us and there are many men and women doing good jobs out in the desert far away from home securing our lifestyles as we know and love it. I love the progress part in yes it takes long time, so I hope and pray that God will protect them and bring them home safe. Thank you

  • there is always people who don't like us...just like a lot of people don't like cops hahahaha but the majority of iraqi /afghani people approve us don't listen to the bull shit media

    ooraahhh!

  • Well its kinda difficult not listening to the bullshit media.. But i do believe we are in the war for all the wrong reasons. I would wish they would pull back and start a different approach to peace. God bless

  • Not to disagree with you, but rather learn more about opinions, I wanted to ask what reasons do you think we're in the war for and what are the right reasons? What kind of approach to peace would you like to see?

In Afghanistan we can't really pull back, rather we should of sent more before voter registration for the Afghan elections instead of before the vote, because then the country would have had a higher voter turnout because the Afghans would have felt safer.

  • Fighting fire with fire is never a solution. I dont know the details but power is what the occupying forces seem to get out of it. I believe in that we humans were created by God and that a lot of people got the answer from God wrong about how to live our lives and the purpose of life. What can seem worth it in this world may seem as a total waste in the next life. The soldier alliance and the terrorists are killing innocent people and there is a penalty for it in the next life. A bad one.

  • There are some people who aren't interested in having things any other way. What did we do to deserve 9/11 anyway? Or the people within Afghanistan who have been repressed by the Taliban?

Gandhi's brilliant philosophy of non-violence was that to stop injustice, you had to make it visible, for then anyone with a conscience will react. But what of those who lack such feelings of remorse?

Violence should be the last answer, but it IS sometimes an answer I believe.

  • Far as killing, sometimes it can be complex if the people (i.e. Taliban) you're fighting use child soldiers. If a 12 year old in Kandahar is going to fire a rifle at me, it's not going to matter to me that he's too young to understand, I have to kill him as fast as anyone. If it's him or me it's not going to be me or my buddies. I hope it never comes to such things for me, but if it does I have to hope God will forgive me for doing it out of need and NOT out of desire

  • I got a lot of friends who are cops as well as in the military, so I definitely hear you on that.

It seems to me more complex than people know. I mean there have been things which have upset people in Iraq and Afghanistan, but from a lot of the people I've spoken to, and a lot of the reading I've done, and videos I've seen, I think people over there appreciate that our troops are trying to bring them some kind of infrastructure and stability, and a LASTING peace.

  • to really understand you have to have been/be there...the media blows everything outta proportion. its not always constant fighting there are days where we just sit in the hummers all day driving around and see nothin...they thank us all the time for our help

  • It's ashame these videos haven't been viewed by more people, i think the american populace should really see what we do as CA, not just kiss hands and shake babies, and hand out soccerballs, i'm actually deploying next year to Afghanistan with my CA BN

  • Keep up the great work guys - my son is at Camp Phoenix with the NY Army Guard 27th Brigade Combat Team

  • the video is not about Iraq, these are soldiers in Afghanistan. The war in Afghanistan is also known as "The forgotten war", i think that's why that guy said that nobody seems to recognize what these guys are doing.

  • In that case I apologize. I just have read too many such comments from people that really believe like that.

  • You started that in 1953 when CIA overthrew iranian prime minister Mosaddeg. US leadership wanted strong allies in the area vs SU. Usa supported shah ruled with an iron fist until he was replaced in an islamic revolution. Iran was the next enemy. CIA helped Hussein to power in Iraq. SH's Iraq was supported next, especially in Iraq-Iran war in the 80's, also with WMD's. SH went out of control and iraq was devastated. Millions of iraqis have died. US actions in ME continue with devastating results

  • sad that no one gives a damn what these guys do---

i went across the state recently and saw many soldiers at train stops. they always looked shamed and everyone around them acted as if they werent there... pitiful

  • u sound stupid, you talkin bout a video game, or that children of men movie right?
