  • Oz is an ocultist expression The left hand of Baphomet

  • first time i hear it!

  • how could you dislike this??

  • is there a version without Yoko screaming in my ears?

  • yoko's best vocals ever.

  • I am a HUGE John and Yoko fan, and I have NEVER heard of this. This is amazing. John is brilliant--and Yoko sounds so awesome!

Love John, Love Yoko! <3 Thanks for posting this!

  • @RylosCentauri Isn't it amazing? This awesome song is so unknown!?!? How is it possible? I am a huge john and beatles fan and I only found this song a few months back myself

  • love Yoko's part in this...she sounds great

  • I've been to Meat City

  • Love John Lennon's vocal in this.

  • Very cool, and many thought post punk was a unique sound. It was the logical progression just as Blue Cheer was to metal.

  • This is not the version released in 1971, this is the remix published in 2000 as a bonus track on "Plastic Ono Band". It is a remix that is considerably different.

  • psychadelic rock?

  • The high pitch is made by John, influenced by Yoko the same way he was influenced by Stu Sutcliffe at that time in his life. Every hardcore Beatle fan could or can come to a conclusion John needed an unconditional creative partner. Stu was shitty on bass just like Yoko was mediocre with vocals, but both seemed to take part in his life on the stage no matter what. For the high pitch he hits, listen to the 8 mins of the Dig It recording, and it's the same high pitch that ends that jam with; "That

  • i think of the Wizard of Oz when i hear this track being played.

  • First time hearing this. John has me smiling again.

  • Yokos voice works when she is INTENDED to have spooky witch shrieking as a background effect. Too bad she sounds like that all the time.

  • it sounds like some kind of strange syncopated beat, but it is actually a rather conventional 4/4 time. Genius.

  • So psychadelic

  • Peace JWL

  • Has someone ever tryed to dance to it? "Put your left hand in, put your right hand out" LOL

  • this in the background to the current Viagra commercial.

  • lennon was nothin without yoko. she was the genius behind all his best songs.

  • @gordonbennet No way! He was a genius on his own. She def influenced him from the late 60's on, but I think he would have done well either way-but you do have a point in that many of his later love songs were composed for her....

  • @gordonbennet lol

  • This song is greater than anything The Beatles ever dreamed of. If not for Yoko, John would have died a 2nd rate has-been.

  • @unclejuniorsoprano Huh? I can't tell if you're serious.

  • The version on Anthology is far better.

  • (possibly)my fav lennon song

yoko makes it more intense. very creative

  • huge lennon fan but this song has been stuck in my head for the past day and it's driving me crazy.

I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE! IT"S JUST THE HOKIPOKI!!! I FEEL LIKE I"M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!!!!

  • i wanna do the oz now hahah

  • hahahahhahaha

    fuckin yokos laf

  • I looooove this song!

  • me toooooooooo!!

  • This song is so ahead of it time, It is sad that it has been overlooked and under rated, Perhaps it wil find its way back in the charts

  • @maltesemario

this is 4 the future, when we all die

    JOHN stay eternal(forget macca, tralala)

  • @maltesemario Your Uncle Junior fully agrees with you. "Do The Oz" is even greater than Beethoven's 9th Symphony.

  • 5/5

    AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!

  • DO THE OZ! yeah baby yeaeh

  • Awesome song that tends to get stuck in my head often, but I still can't figure out exactly HOW to do the Oz :-P
