ESPECIALLY metal. one of the hardest/fastest guitar playing styles you can learn you really have to MASTER all fingers i noticed an exceptional different when i improved my pinky

You can see how you get progressively looser. I love warming up. The only thing I hate about V shaped guitars is they're super uncomfortable when you sit. I have an LTD Eclipse, and I really recommend switching the pickups for Seymour Duncan JB's(b) and 59's(n) they make the tone so much cleaner.

well i kno you were expecting an answer from from peter himself but i am a guitar player too, and i think i might be able to give you some advice. First of all you gotta get your technique down.... like picking techniques and stuff like that (very important) and second of all use a METRONOME it will help you a whole lot and you will find that your are improving a lot. start slow then slowly get faster. Hope it helped !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

why upload a warm up? unless you were planning on showing tips and explaining your methods. I mean all this is to me personally is a way to air a video displaying your technique and get away with mistakes... as it is a "warm up" What is there is pretty good technique, it just needs tightening.

Standart - EADGBE, one step - D tuning - DGCFAD, two steps - C tuning CFA#D#GC. Also check out the Drop tunings - for example Drop D tuning - DADGBE - for this you only downtune the fat E string one whole step to D and then you play powerchords just by barring EAD strings. For example E5 powerchord - the lowest normally looks

E:0

A:2

D:2

In drop you hold it like

E:2

A:2

D:2

With this, you have lower tuning, but the strings arent flappy and its easier to play powerchords :)

KoRn, Fear Factory, Amon Amarth and lot of US Metal bands - B tuning - actually, they use 7 string guitar - it has the extra fat B string.

Disturbed/slipknot - drop B/sometimes Drop D

Marylin manson, Clawfinger, Muse - Dead star, Rob zombie and lots and lots of others - Drop D

Nice, for a moderate warm-up. Although you may want to start off a little slower before beginning a real practice session or exercise. Playing fast repetitive arpeggios like that right off the bat can do some serious damage to your tissue.
