For me, HSM 1 is the best. I love how Ryan plays as the submersive sidekick to Sharpay. Plus the plot is simpler but endearing, with a lesson that's easy to understand and relate to. The sequels became complicated, with Ryan shifting sides and even working against his sister. At 3, they even made Kelsi, who was originally Jason's partner, become Ryan's. The couple's cute, but it shows inconsistency. I feel sorry for Jason too.
