Hate To say that I used to think Meucci was awsome, that was about 15 Years ago when i first started playin pool. Then I started doin research, then shot with one, Dint like it. And got a Predator shaft for my lucasi, and thought I want to think bout my shot not where the stupid Dot is. 360 sweet spot all the way!!!
I dont get what the point of this is, what, you need the best cue made in order to play pool? I run the table with house cues. People going a little bit nuts with cues and equipment, just go play.
Everyone should just forget about the Black Dot and 314-2 and buy a Z-2, now there's a shaft ;) tough to adjust too, but when you do, you'll be slicing the paint off balls and pot them dead center ;)
A friend of mine will be bringing a Meucci 21st nr.2 over to Amsterdam for me next week, it is fitted with a black dot shaft as well. Is it true that they warp? I don't know if you use a Meucci butt as well, but if you do how is the overall build quality?
Deflection is really shown in a draw shot, a true test of deflection is when you are using top english with left or right. check out the videos on meuccis website, they have the machine that gives the same stroke and same ball placement every time. But using draw as a basis just doesn't give a good example.
@whataboutchase deflection has nothing to do with draw really. it has to do with sidespin and that's something you have feel. You're not going to SEE much of a difference if someone is using a cue right, even if it has a lot of deflection.
everybody says that 314 is better when it comes to deflection, but the fact is that the Blackdot is better. But almost very similar. The only problem with 314 that you have to buy a new one every two years because of the it's built. They are both very good shafts
You're absolutely wrong, and your video is hilarious. For starters, you don't use the same stroke in both shots. With the 314-2, you stay down and finish with the tip on the table. With the blackdot, you hit so hard you had to lift off the table. Second, you didn't follow the same path with the cueball; you can tell by the way you pocketed the ball. The 9 ball hits off the right point and goes in, while the 8 goes straight in. The angle changes, thus giving you a different endpoint. Try again.
Hey! Plz!!!!! This video was not made to start arguments whether meucci or predator is better. I found a place with very bad conditioned tables. The tables are very slow. Terribly slow. I wanted to test these two cues on those tables. I have both cues and both are very awesome. So please don't start arguments for this video. Nobody should argue....we all love playing biliards.
@bANDynamiTe I wasn't trying to argue. I was just pointing out the fact that if you were using this video as a basis for your comment of the blackdot being better than the 314-2 that you were way off base. Not trying to start any incident here.
There's a reason that the Predator company uses Iron Willie for their deflection tests. You can get the same result and get a true gauge of deflection and spin acquired. If you had hoped this video would show how awesome blackdots are, you're either foolish or blind. There's a reason more top players have chosen Predator and not Meucci.

What is the point of this.. Its pretty hard to believe that people consider meucci to be anywhere close to predator

I could draw a ball that much with a house cue. How does this prove the meucci shaft deflects less?

I guess this video is not about deflection that's how...

Thats it I am going to get one. Going for the Meucci Demo Cue with the Black dot bulls eye.

Do you really have to shoot with the Dot facing up? Do you find that it distracts you?
diarden 2 years ago
no....that's not really true...I never care for the dot and I can always make all shots the same

Mot much of a difference. What about the deflection?
