But before I quit it was discontinued and restarted under the name Kings UI. Hope this helps. Kings UI is the same layout, but better imo. Not even sure if anyone still plays AoC :(

Quick question though. I think I remember hearing about a PvP gear system being implemented a little while ago. Is that the best gear for PvP? Or is dungeon gear better?

The pvp gear system was implemented long ago, for pvp it is definately better than the dungeon gear though it requires high pvp levels to use (takes a while to earn on pve servers, but maybe not so much on pvp) However the raid gear is quite powerful even in pvp use, not really sure which would be best, full t2 raid gear or full pvp gear, i think the pvp gear though. Raid gear bonuses are intended for raids and pve mostly, pvp gear bonuses are for pvp.

well, you dont get dps with ss, but you also cant be your best at tanking with a polearm.

AOC is seperiour in PVP to any other game,gear doesnt matter,its all about skills,tryd alot of other games but no other game even comes close to the AOC fighting system.Try the game again,you wont regret it.(i wouldnt choose Fury if you guys dont like the ganking and zergs though)

Nah,i play on fury(mostly becouse im in a veery fun guild) and the ganking is kinda-sorta ok,youll get used to it eventually;)Anyways the game is simply awesome,great pvp,great pve(im pretty new to the game,just did black castle yesterday with my guild,using teamspeak,and let me tell you,i havent had that much fun in a while)I STRONGLY recommend anyone who's interested in the game to AT LEAST try the trial,and if you like it,buy it(like i did)

Well,if your into dpsing,then i'd suggest trying either the assassin,the barbarian,the ranger(tho it isnt melee),or the conquerer(tho he's mor of a tank-dps).If its tanking you want the the first option would surely be the guardian,or the dark templar(tho the guardians are the most sought after tanks).There are some hybrid classes,such as Herald of Xotli(or how its called)which are mixed between mages and melee dpsers,and classes like bear shaman,who are more of the healer-dps(tho not much dps)

Well,since im lvl 40 and still using the trial,i'd say no,there is no level limit (untill now,but ive been in fields of the dead,which is a lvl 40-50 zone,so i really dont think so),and about the conqueror,well its really a matter of play-style,visit the official forums,look for some builds for the conq,see which does what,and you decide;)Also be warned that,once you leave Tortage,the pvp and ganking will get a little crazy,so be careful:D

For conquerors dual wielding is for dps and 2handers for tanking, so pick which you want to focus on, but for levelling many think 2handers is best due to higher survivability (though the high dps of dual-wield can do just as well.)

It has a cooldown, the standard demon form has a duration of 25 sec as I remember and takes 2 min before I can cast again. But it can be feated for longer duration, and shorter recast time. And you have an option to learn a second, and more powerful, demonform with longer but seperate cooldown.

I played HoX from pre-order and about a month or so before I left in utter disgust. I see the weapon + demon model bug is STILL there and there was a critical interview somwhere recently and the funcom dude basically just continued with the deception thing and didn't really admit anything or answer candidly on a single question that I could see. Nuff said. This game needs a miracle to regain my trust.

Well that's just it isn't it? Better than ever would in this case be better than a complete disaster, which would still put the game pretty far from a convincing mmo experience. And afaik, there still hasn't been a revamp and obviously, the bugs still riddle the game. Added to this, there has been some serious analysis suggesting that certain key elements in the gamecode is unfixable. Pluss Funcom needs more than a slap on the wrist for releasing a sham.

I'd say you are talking out your ass now. The game is SOOOOOO much better any actually bug of any consequence to gameplay is gone. So much more content and come 1.5 the last big issue (itemization) is getting fixed as well as being an overall balance patch for the classes and adding a new zone for the last area where you will encounter grinding which is 70-80.

Well, I don't know about all the servers. Crom (PvE) where I play is quite nicely populated and I'm sure you can find lots of people to play with. As for Fury (PvP) it's pretty much overcrowded and has turned into a major gank-fest from what I hear. As for other servers I think they are fairly empty by comparison, not sure though. I don't know anything about the US servers though.

They are all visual glitches though and do not in any way affect gameplay.

And yes the improvements made to the game since launch are great, theres still a lot of work to do, but the game is great fun to play. So go ahead and give it another try.

That list would be far too long to mention here, but anything from bug fixes (lots of them) to new zones and dungeons. New pvp content (pvp levels and items, new pvp resources for battlekeeps, murder system etc). New crafting recipes. And many more things.

Also they are currently working on the dx10 update for better graphics (looks REALLY nice, but still not entirely stable) as well as an itemization patch that will completely revamp player and item stats to give them more meaning.

If you had them with your account before then you have them still. Mammoths can be bought now also and Funcom has for some time been offering a special mammoth with new accounts (don't know if they still do that though). Rhinos are still exclusive to the preorder.
