I remember the time and place and the car I was driving when I first heard Mark Knopfler.

Turning left off of Pennant Hills Rd into Beecroft rd at Pennant Hills in my Lime Green "Hey" Charger 265 Hemi engine 4 on the floor.

It was Sultans of Swing and it was '78 maybe? I thought it was Bob Dylan and Clapton working together. Gimme' a break I was only 25.

I love Mark Knopflers technique..That is why I have played guitar for 4 years now..

I allmost only play things by him and Eric Clapton..

I love the technique he uses here.. Country-Rock in a way, and that Djoupre djoup in the end xD

I'm almost sure that it's positive (i'm french).

Don't be sorry for that, it's already cool that you can speak and that you don't criticize the "off voice", because lots of americans and englishs hate french and don't respect this language because only english would have to be spoken all over the world.

"ouf" means "fou"; its a reversed-word called "verlan" wich mean "à l'envers" said reversly - verlan is an idiomatic way of speaking for french young people including reverse words in sentences - french is hard to learn, don't pay attention to that slang ! (the repetition of the letter "f" is just a way to emphasis the word... in english you would probably say "craaaaaaaazy" to give the same effect).

In deep, "quel oufffff" could be understood as "this guy is doing f*cking crazy things that blow my mind"...

"ouf !" in french also mean the english interjection "phew !"...
