I was mostly interested in the fugue, to listen to how the choir sounded. I haven't heard anything wrong with their rendition. Fugues can make or break choirs. This choir did a pretty good job with this fugue. I thought the Kyrie sounded quite well. The Introit, however, felt like it lost energy and eventually, dragged a little at the end. On the whole, I haven't heard too many problems with this performance.
I have a feeling this sounds a lot better in actuality. (YouTube tends to pare down the quality of anything posted to save room) but as is, I wish the choir had better diction. But then again that could have been lost in the transfer.
Adding those tittle frames and interrupting the audio flow, ever so slightly, makes u big difference esp between introit and kyrie,it almost sounds off ,but anyway ,a brilliant performance and a wonderful post,Thanks!
You're right, i feel the same, it is a bit slow. Nevertheless, this is the Requiem, slower of fast, still wonderful and so is the performance. Thanks for posting this.
I have to sing this whole thing for allstate this year! It's a great piece of music but sooo hard!

Not a bad performance-nice balance within the choir, orchestra could have pulled it in a couple of notches on the softer passages.

wow... not the best rendition of dies irae but it is top three to me. I liked the Texas All State Mens Choir better. Awesome. Check it out.
