I remember fs98 having flat pixelated scenery with 2 buildings placed every mile.And i thought that was awesome.I used to do very short flights,not knowing where the hell i am going,hoping i will spot an airport somewhere and land with no flaps and thrust reverses or anything like that.I always ended up crashing.Haha...Now for like 2 years straight,never crashed while attempting to land,ever.

It's more like a game then a sim. That is the first fail. The second one is that the fact it's more like a game has brought a bunch of little kids who think awesome is putting music on a junk full ILS landing wtf come on..

FSX is also a resource HOG. FS9 has many things on its side

1. More mature community

2. More realistic physics (More like A SIM NOT a F**** game)

3. Better add-on base

4. With scenery addons it can compete with FSX without low FPS

@Fsxroflcopter i agree. it is alot more like a game. i had fs since fs96 i think. and ive been playing alot. fsx looks great but it lacks some realism which means whenever i have to use fsx i need a good addon that has more realism. i dont use fs2004 much anmore

by making a version like FSX with better textures so it woud look as if you had the addons we use now. Also, they could make the game be GPU hungry, not CPU. Cause it's really hard to run on max settings and getting good fps.
