  • this was my favorite line up too..drama rock.

more important was having ron nevison produce heart because 1990's brigade was a crummy recording. even rupert hine could have produced a good heart album but scott ziot or whoever produced bridade sucked to the max.

  • Heart are the quintessential example of a band that was great in the 70's and then got sucked into 80's crapola. So sad. (Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, etc.) Very few musicians were able to avoid the prevailing winds of that wretched decade.

  • @wheatonna

what a stupid comment. chicago totally sucked until they got ron nevison. stevie nicks and heart did their best work in the 1980s. real rock with real power unlike the blues-grunge-americana mulatto sound that pollutes all rock now.

  • The record companies often tried to hide Ann's weight with big fat suits and big hair (by her own admission in an interview)

  • Everytime Ann Wilson sings it gives me goose bumps, just love her voice, best two talented ladies around in a rock band to date. Nancy guitar playing with the rest of the talented band is a fantastic balance, they are appropriately named (Heart)

  • have seen the band on many occasions and spoken to ann & nancy on these tours and they are a great people.

on the bad animals and brigade tours i met the full line up and spoke to all of the band and am a devoted fan.

howard was an early recruit to the band in vancouver as a keyboard player and i think a producer?,up until recent years he was a part owner of the name HEART i believe, but someone might be able to confirm that.

he formed his own band and called it BRIGADE i believe.

  • @TheOldeoak really how cool !

  • Heart is freaking amazing. I first heard them when they preformed on a country music awards shiow (Strangely enough) and I've loved them ever since.

  • THE MOST POWERFUL FEMALE ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME ......HEART ROCKS.....FOREVER......70'S, 80'S, 90'S ...TRUE TALENT

  • I saw the in concert in 1985 in El Paso. So close to the stage. And I was in love with Ann.

    And Nancy rocks the stage.

    Great memories

  • I have had the honor of seeing these women live in my life time and i can honestly say that they put on one of the best live shows . Not many music artist have moved me like these women have. I will always cherish getting the chance to see them ..Love you Ann & Nancy .. Ann I don't care what people may say about you your still sexy and can sing your ass off which is more than i can say for some of the artist today

  • Ann Wilson --- what a powerful voice !!

  • I know a certain swedish "Rockband" who practically took the most of this awesome song and re-wrote it to "Listen To Your Heart" ;)

Screw them, HEART is the thing!

    Powerful music powerful voices

  • yea...roxette...heart is way better

  • yeah elie she is amazing. respect

  • Man! At the end of this particular song "What About Love" she sang the shit out of it!! Ann's voice is not only AMAZING but that part at the end is so intense, sometimes it brings me to tears because you can just feel the emotion in her voice as she delivers those final notes of the song. It seems to me that she may have begun going through a rough time in her life with the sudden weight gain & with that, the need to feel loved, desired, & wanted was what she seemed to be expressing at the end..

  • Great pics & Great video. The BEST gals rock band ever.

  • Cool video! HEART forever!

  • i lov this song!!!!!

  • I always liked Heart, what ever happened to the guys from the group, they really could play.

  • Great 80s pics of them. I swear, you google image them and you don't get all of these pics, some but not all. And, sorry to Heart, but their main website really is pants as far as pictures are concerned. There are like no old pics at all. I must speak to Nancy and Ann about that when I talk to them..never. lol.

  • @suzylux Yes, it drives me nuts too. Also wish they would offer their old concerts on DVD so I don't have to get these crap recordings off a stupid Beta tape.

  • I miss the Hearts!!!

  • lol cool video! i luv Heart!

  • lil Wayne......LOL I can't believe anyone with at least two cell's to rub together in there head, would even mention that fuckin idiot in; with the likes of HEART! Enough said.

  • I saw them twice. 1975 on thier first tour as the lead band for April Wine. They blew april wine away far as I was concerned. Saw them again in 1980. Met them in a bar after the concert and spent an hour or two drinking with the band. A most memorable evening ...

  • lil wayne NEVER SANG WITH HEART ITS CALLED WHAT ABOUT LOVE ............

  • SICK TRIBUTE ....... lil wayne NEVER sang this song with them THIS IS HEARTS SONG ITS CALLED: WHAT ABOUT LOVE

  • i saw them about a month and a half ago and ditto....i adore them even more.i will always remember that night in the rain ,watching Heart

  • That's awesome.

  • Ann wilson is so pretty!! :)

  • Great! They got out of style. I like their style on the last photo.

  • *Wonderful*___ANN-NANCY,"Todo lo que quiero es hacerles el amor"___(Adrian)

  • So you like the ealier years of Heart?

  • I sure do. 80's heart isnt bad. But man thier first two cds were awesome even 2day.

  • @KoRnFinatic121686 First 4 were brilliant. Once Roger Fisher was ousted it just wasn't the same

  • SICK THE BEST OF THE 80's BRIGHT BACK THE 80's

  • whta about Ann and Nancy on these days??? and those three cutes man of the band???? i really want to know! i love Ann, but i always wondered about her fitness, such a beautiful woman, its really sad for her. But still beauty i think... i love HEART!!!!!

  • Heart has been my favorite band since 1985. I've seen them around 7 times in concert. Ann and Nancy are extremely talented and Ann has the best voice in Rock n Roll. I have to admit that I really enjoyed Mark Andes and Denny Carmassi in the band; they were very talented.

  • I would love just to sit in one time and play guitar to all the hits from Magic Man to Lovemongers tunes. I've been a fan from the beginning. Heart ROCKS!!!!

  • this is music fuck simon cowell

  • So 80's and....SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!! Heart will live on , forever!

  • ann is VERY sexy!! ;)\m/"\m/ GO HEART!!:)

  • Ann...please invite me to your Halloween party this year???

  • Ann Wilson Rules!!

  • nrthdude1 three of my favorite female vocalists ever ann wilson pat benatar and linda ronstadt... they all deserve to be in the rock n roll hall of fame... ive seen them all numerous times in concert, and even though pat and ann are getting raspy they are still great singers and linda well no one can touch that vocal... shes getting better with age.. i love ann wilson and i adore that woman so much

  • Ann and Pat are also my 2 favorite female vocalists. To me, Ann has the most powerful voice of the 2 but they are both godesses in rock history. I saw Heart in the early 80s, never got to see Pat. And yeah, a big WTF to no Hall of Fame.

  • Heart... one of the best bands ever!

  • The line up existing in 1982 with the album "Private Audition" featured Michael Derosier, Steve Fossen and Howard Leese. However after Derosier and Fossen were fired Mark Andes and Denny Carmassi were featured in the music video's and continued on with HEART well into 1992 and after the "Brigade" tour faded out Mark Andes was fired and after "Desire Walks On" came out in 1993 through 1994 Denny Carmassi left the group, and was not featured in the music video "Will You Be There In The Morning"

  • Why was Andes fired and why did Carmassi leave?

  • @builtcaleb MARK ANDES siad he was fooling around with ANN, dont know about denny ?

  • I seen Ann and Nancy on their acoustic tour in 98.I can honestly say that I have NEVER been as impressed by 2people on stage has I was that night. I would pay double to see it again. Ann and Nancy were born to play and sing music no dought.

  • This Heart line up is good no dought. Denny C. added a nice syncapated rhythmn on the song want you so bad, off of bad animals, that I really respected. But this Heart line up now falls short. They should drop the band.

  • It's 2007 and Heart, Linda Ronstadt and Pat Benatar are still not in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

  • Nice.

  • incredible song

  • I love this song, keep rockin Heart!

  • This lineup was the best yet! I luved their Heart and Bad Animals albums they are the best! What About Love is one of the best songs but Never is the GREATEST Heart song ever! There is nothing I mean NOTHING better than Heart! Ann and Nancy rule!

  • yeah that dave guy must be smokin bad stuff...heart dominated in the 70s 80s and in 1990 they had a huge song so technically thats amazing and u can bet ms spears wont be doing that..as for the line up, commerically yes this was thier best..i like thier 70s and 80s stuff..i grew up on heart and im 34 now they were songsmiths and thier guitar playing was created, played and crafted..amazing artist ann willson has such a voice i think she is over looked

  • davebest2001 ---> Bullshit.

  • I love heart no matter what. I remember these songs from this era the most, because the lyrics are catchy, and they were all over the radio during this era. The vocals and the songwriting are just another great quality of this band. If you consider..selling more albums, and shaping the sound of the 80's.."Letting themselves down" ...than maybe you need to do your homework...this band rocks!!

  • 70s, 80s, 90s, beyond- Ann and Nancy Wilson have always been outstanding. Howard Leese, as well. Each of these individuals are incredible musicians and performers. They are the heart of Heart. Every band has their ups and downs, but Heart made it through theirs and are better than ever. There are more than 3 decades of Heart music. Few bands can claim that. The Rolling Stones, but Ann's vocal abilities, in my opinion, are far better than Mick Jagger's and she certainly is prettier!

  • Worst lineup? It was their most successful lineup by far...they sold millions of albums and packed arenas with this lineup! Most people wouldn't even know about Heart had it not been for this lineup. Alone, Who Will You Run To? What about Love, If Looks Could Kill, These Dreams - just to name a few. Some of their greatest songs came from that era. Kick it Out and Private Audition? No thanks!

  • @builtcaleb why did denny and mark leave the band ?

  • @babyj1996 they didnt leave the band.. Ann and Nancy fired them.

  • @ILuvAnnWils0n Yeah, they had a habit of firing band members every so many albums. Howard Leese must have been easy to get along with because he was around forever.

  • That is a beautiful pic of Howard & Nancy. They look like Olympic figure skaters. Great slideshow, Theresthegirl!

  • Cool, thanks!

  • Well, first of all, the band members were second to none. All those guys, especially Howard Leese, are some of the best musicians to this date. As far as choice of lyrics and songwriters, it was a choice. If they had not made these 2 albums, I doubt younger Heartmongers and fans who love ALL their music, would have been able to recognize their earlier acheivements. Ann and Nancy are smart. It was the 80's. Give them a break!

  • This was their worst lineup. The music was horrible as well. They really let themselves down. Their 70 stuff was much better than this horrible vacuous muck. They did like Starship in the 80s. They let others write their songs even though they were much better songwriters themselves. Thankfully they have come back to realise how good they were in the beginning
