@PreGamingTV I do not doubt that we will see him again. After his second appearance in the series he built up a large following. We may see him again right before the end of one piece. There is still another 10 years or so of one piece left so anything is possible. Purely speculation of course.

@PreGamingTV The difference between Bon being dead and Ace & Whitebeard, is that they showed them get killed. In any anime, if the character is not killed on screen, they have a chance to come back. I Think Bon is still alive, and he will come back later for something. Maybe nothing epic like this, but at some point.

Bon-Chan was last seen fighting Magellan in "Impel Down". After the war of the best, it claimed that Magellan had been hospitalized by the "Blackbeard Pirates". My best guess is that Blackbeard hospitalized Magellan before he could kill Bon-Clay.

Its funny isn't it ... The Baroque works, yeah remember them, the organization that tried to kill Luffy and the gang? Well look at this. Mr.3 (Wax guy) made it possible for Luffy to hold off Magellan so everyone could escape prison. Then helped in the seemingly impossible situation by freeing Ace. Bon Clay (Mr.2) Saved Luffy from sudden death by carrying him to level 4 in the freezing cold and sacrificed himself and stayed at the prison to keep the Gates of Justice open.

Here's what I believe. Bon Clay was fighting Magellen, and then got cornered. Before his final moments, Shiryuu(The guy who wanted Magellen dead so much for jailing him), kills him for his revenge. However, Blackbeard releases tons of prisoners to the world, so I assumed he let Bon Clay live. Thumbs up if you agree!

@MrOmnisaur I like the theory, but the only issue is that Shiryuu appears at Marineford and after the war, Sengoku learns about the prison break in which Magellan didn't die by Shiryuu's hand. Apparently Magellan didn't die from the fighting however he wanted to take his own life for failing in his duties. Whether or not he did I'm not sure but I only watch the anime so the manga might have something different. I want to believe Bon Clay is still alive as well lol

He's saved our favorites pirates when they had no escape by sacrificing himself, He's helped luffy to escape of an inpenetrable prison and when luffy was defeated by magellan he swore that he'd save him, just because they were nakamas and he needed nothin' more than that, He's carried his friend's body to an apex of salvation, He's waited for luffy's sake and at the end he sacrificed himself AGAIN so luffy could save his brother, and that's why i love okamas, true story. I like to believe Blackbeard and his crew showed up at that time and took Magellan out before he killed Bon-chan (since we know Blackbeard and his crew beat Magellan to near death when they escaped Impel Down).

I'd like to believe that BB did that too, but that raises the question as to if Bon-chan escaped, and if he did, how. @ZanderTHV It's true it isn't stated, but I think it's fairly obvious it was him. Especially after he just gained like 4 more crew members from Level 6. All the other strong prisoners escaped with Luffy. The Blackbeard Pirates were the only ones left in Impel Down at the time who could have hurt him. And I really don't believe Bon Clay is dead. Just like I don't think Sabo is dead. If you don't see a body in One Piece, it's almost certain they're alive.
