Maybe thats the reason why the barrel was put behind bars... To elliminate the worst shrapnel risk. Besides, there where a lot of uniforms covering most of the flightpath of any kind of debrie... ;-)
@sniper152 Nothing would happen. The explosion wasn't powerful enough to send a shrapnel that would even kill one of people. Gasoline doesn't make good bomb material.
