It is a shame when politics stands in the way of science.This is a classic case of shooting the messenger. Just like the smear campaign that targeted scientists that studied cancer caused by smoking, history will paint a shameful picture of those that worked to maintain the status quo,protecting fossil fuel interests through every deceitful method possible.

Just like the tobacco companies, the microscope should be on those conducting these smear campaigns - not scientists that study climate.
