I have this card too! It isn't working yet because of wrong processor on motherboard. It really is a heavy noise maker.

I have 2 of those in CF. Overclocked to 850/2.2 Hottest I have seen them is 61 degrees. You can hear them on boot up, but very very quiet after boot.

i'm getting this card but need to know how many amps it needs on the 12v rail

would a psu with 12v@15amps and 12v@16amps rails run it?

or does 1 rail have to be at least 25amps?

it needs about 30amps to be on the safe side get a PSU with above 36A

Running 2, not overclocked in crossfire, i get 43-45 idle temps, 55 - 60 max active temps, though im not on water cooling, i have decent cooling.

Is your Sapphire 3870 Toxic a retail model and where did you buy? Also, did it come with an HDMI cable?

Newegg has them a bit more then others but it is overclocked and has better cooler it seems.
