  • I say give it 4 more legs, just because...

  • Oh god no the enslavement bots now all they need Is a small turret strapped to the back...

  • thats awesom! a little creepy when the dude pushed it and it stumbled like a real dog/animal would, and it was fucking creepy when it stood up all slow and shit i still want one though

  • So i assume they are going to mount machine guns on this then, seems like a bit of an overkill remote control toy

  • If that thing step on soldier's foot he'll be sent home immediately

  • All you need is the "Petman" as the Cowboy

  • Alphadog? seriosuly? Looks more like a horse.

  • Well, looks like 1980 George Lucas was right...

  • We're so boned.

  • 1:07

    Taliban: Yeah we killed it!

    ....Wait

    FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK

  • @McNuggets313 Amerikkkan: Yaay, we built a million of these and other AI drones!

... Wait... Skynet says kill everyone

OOPS OOOPS OOOOOPS OOOOOOOOOOPS TOO LATE.... WE ALL DIE

  • 1:07 - WE KILLED IT!

  • @Bobnumbbumf 1:13 no you didn't.

  • lol at 0:49

  • Eww gross.

  • Okay, I thought BigDog was Crying Wolf. No, THIS is Crying Wolf. Well. We are all pretty much screwed.

  • Like a boss.

  • Beardyman?

  • Can you imagine hearing a few hundred of these things marching toward your camp?

  • Little bit of armor, an upscale and this thing will be unstoppable..

  • That is the scariest thing i've ever seen in my life

  • Oh look, here's some rocks... Alpha Dog don't give a shit, it just walks right over 'em.

  • Oh yea, this isn't going to help Skynet enslave us at ALL.

  • Don't get me wrong; these "dog" bots are effing sweet. But also I think they will haunt my nightmares for a while. Can you imagine one of those things coming at you in the dark? You try to push/kick it away, and it just keeps coming.... aiyee.

  • am I the only one who finds this video funny? I mean when he does the superman takeoff, I just burst!

  • Brightest engineers

  • just saw a video on popsci.com of the big-dog, it has the same exact design as this one, the same built, but was loud as hell, I'm not sure if it is actually this silent in this video or if they just took the noise out.

  • @nckreuz The one you saw was the outdoor version, powered by a gas engine. This is the electric indoor version, with reduced range. They are both prototypes. The final will likely be muffled/soundproofed but gas-powered so think quiet but not silent.

  • That's creepy

  • 1:00 It'll remember that.

  • Кошмар! Не дай бог такого на улице встретить!

  • you're only fueling its rage 1:00

  • run for your LIFE!

  • Блеать ну ЗАЕБАЛИ... Теперь вот роботов мочить надо будет...

  • Genius work , all from Boston Dynamics

    How cool would that be!

  • Star Wars here we come

  • That last scene looks kind of badass.

  • Big dog dont care big dog dont give a shit.

  • *slowly stand up

"how dare you push me down, puny human"

  • This is so cool, after looking at bigdog, this thing is just a tank.

  • DESTROY IT! BURN IT! DELETE ALL FILES! SERIOUSLY, THE NWO WILL USE THIS SHIT TO ENSLAVE US

  • 1:08 get up! wow

  • im so scared when they push it cause i feel like its gonna turn around and push back.

  • they need to use these in the fucking military it would of helped out my squad a lot for going in to battle

  • stupid dog,you make me look bad UGABHUGAWHAHWAH

  • 1:10 [Damage Control Initiated]... [Power Supply: Nominal]... [Optics: Nominal]... [Processing Unit: Nominal]... [Targeting: Nominal]... [Weapons Systems: Nominal]... [Armor Integrity: 88%]... [Auto Repair Initiated]... [Network Access: Secure]... [Compassion for organic life: None]...

  • Ok, some military should buy it and mount a MG on it, and plate it with armor... it would be awesome!

  • well now we just have to wait for skynet to become self-aware

  • stop now, before you kill us all

  • Snake? SNAKE!? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!

  • METAL GEAR

  • Welp, only Robocop can save us now.

  • SHOOT IT

    KILL IT WITH FIRE

  • @Muckknuckle

I don't think it would catch fire very well. :)

  • @ominousbiscuit FUCK YOU'RE RIGHT

    HUMANITY IS DOOMED

  • I think I'll just go cry and sip my warm milk. ;___;

  • MGS?

  • Why does this robot's motion look more lively than most animated objects?

  • @ig7157 In all honestly ('cause I've thought the same thing), I believe animated objects & beings would look much the same way if the skin & muscle were removed for one's viewing while in motion. With all the flesh, skin, fur & hair covering an animal, it's easy for the simplicity & elegance of the skeletal motion to get lost within.

  • @ig7157 Ya know...I just thought about how creepy my previous statement must have sounded. Lol. I'm a biologist at heart, so these kinds of mechanical creations fascinate me...especially the walking machines. :)

  • If you throw a spanner, will it fetch it?

  • Sarah Connor help us!

  • Are you sure this isn't just an elaborate costume for a headless goat?

  • I want to ride it like a pony

  • I'm sure the pipe in the middle is actually a gun barrel

  • It's not going to kill me it's not going to kill me it's not going to kill me.....

  • This would really make mech bull riding more fun :D

  • SENTRY GUN AND THERMAL VISION, HOW COULD HUMANS COMPETE?

  • omg thats so awesome it looks so cool it looks like a thing from a scifi movie, that could be used by police the military and disater relieve and it has such a scary-ness to it, id think anyone that went up against an armed one would think twice if they lived, especially if it tried to charge at them, great for riot patrol.

  • one day that robots going to push you back and you're not guna stay on your feet

  • GENERAL GRIEVOUS!

Ima go get my lightsaber, this has gone too far

  • @Alexislebaroudeur Your lightsaber can do nothing to stop a Gundam LaGOWE

  • METAL GEAR?!?!?!

  • sweet! but hey you guys must really love pushing that thing about and seeing it revert itself again, I know I would! :-)

  • AlphaDog? more like a horse! the tapping of it's feet near the end make it look like it's doing tricks and stuff =)

  • I would like to ride on that thing.

  • Wouldn't it be funny if it pushed those guys back?

  • Mother of God! I can have nightmares with this. Still a great advance, and I'm sure the guys at BD are not taking it to a level that the machine is going to rebel against a human (yet).

  • Been following Boston's work and it's been nothing but amazing

  • 1:09

Did that not creep anyone else out?!

  • this is dog from half-life 2!

  • 1:16 I'm back, bitches!

  • 0:47 FAIL. He's scared of human voice

  • HEY BOSTON DYNAMICS?

YOU ARE AMAZING. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

    I FREAKING LOVE ROBOTS.

  • @TuxNTopHat

yeh but theyr making this stuff for military, and military always be the first to get the new technologies like this to kill peoples. all this stuff along with drones is just not so good to appear in current system which is broken

  • Is the word "help" a word that the Alphadog recognizes as a deadman switch triggering automatic power down?

  • Aż strach się bać, co to będzie jak roboty zaczną rządzić Ziemią.] It is scary to be afraid of what it would be like robots will rule the Earth

  • Add a big cat face or a dino face on it, and it will be freakier.

  • Can you name your next project Fox Hound after the Metal Gear series?

  • The BigDog sure looks more agile and versatile than this thing... and these two devils carrying a coffin sure looked far less ugly than this also.

  • omg deus ex is real

  • sponsored by FEMA

  • Могли бы сделать по симпотичнее, а то же пздц))

  • WALL·E on steroids

  • WHAT WILL KILL THAT THING ???

WE NEED TO KILL IT IF WE EVER SEE IT.

  • Só falta as metralhadoras...

  • this scares the crap outer me

  • @TheModerGuy Ikr, I think the world will be taken over by BigDogs.

Just think: If they had a gun attachment...

  • For over 50 years many smartasses have been scarying people with robots taking over the world.

and the best what we have is this piece of shit in 21st century. Jesus will come back first before the robots could get smarter than an earth worms.

  • @nadoeloiskat

if you take a look at any living organism (slow worm or human) a little bit closer, you see a enormously complicated macro-bot created by hundreds of billions microscopic nano-bots - each one with it's own power plant, command centre and biochemical reactor. Each one able to communicate with others, replicate and defend from invaders. Each one equipped with the whole database of the macroscopic construct it creates. That technology is light years ahead of anything we could build.

  • next vid there will be lots bigdogs pushing humans arround

  • donkey is prettier,

    donkey takes heavier loads,

    donkey does not break down,

donkey goes on air water and corn and does not need a f...en power plant near it.

  • @rpdecorators

    Donkey's aren't 100% reliable

    The stink

    They need rest

    They need food and water.

If they break a leg out in the middle of nowhere, then you have to kill it.

If they don't want to go some place, then they will fight and buck all over the place, knocking all the equipment off them and possibly kicking you in the process.

  • @CuervoBlack06 Yeah, and for the price of this thing you could have 1000 donkeys. I'm sure this thing is as far from cost-effective as possible, which means the "defense" industry will be buying them immediately. They already have equipment to carry heavy gear, it's called a truck, it drives on roads. Either you don't need to go where there's no roads or you build a road.

  • @gt40f Like I said how much would it cost to take care of those 1000 camels to feed them, and keep them health etc. An IED will take care of that truck. The point of this is to get the soldiers OFF the roads and stop making them easy targets for ambushes and roadside bombs.

  • @gt40f Man you are an idiot.

People explain why robots are better and you still complain.

You retard, this thing can walk, and walk around rocks, and up terrain, and keep a steady pace with soldiers, and can't be as easily spotted as a truck.

  • @gt40f I bet thats what some said about horseless carriages...

  • @rpdecorators

    donkeys :

    - can be shot down w/ SAF

    - are vulnerable to Nuclear, Biological, Chemical env, while a robot can withstand any biological & most chemical weapons and high level of radioactivity

    - can get sick, and get a broken leg (and you can't fix that part with just spare parts/some tools)

    - can't be air-dropped safely

    - need a human to guide them, while a robot can be piloted from a distance

+ effective EMP weapons are expensive and hard to have in an army

  • @TubeofDestiny I notice mostly only conspiracy theorist ever bring up emp's

  • @AgrivatedKillah conspiracy ? sorry but that's not my cup of tea, I'm more the "video game/sci-fi nerd" type, so EMP weapons are pretty common in my imagination :D

and everyone know stealth technology is in the top 3 priorities of modern armies, just look at stealth copters or fifth-generation aircraft, armies are spending shitload of money on that, electronics warfare is still an important asset (even if cyberwarfare is the new celebrity), no need to a be tinfoil hat to notice that

  • @rpdecorators put 400 pounds on a donkey? Hope PETA doesnt read that

  • It's so cute!

  • GI will have to pay attention to their feet !

  • CuervoBlack06

My bad - shouldn't say "developed"....reverse engineered. Most of the western technology is/was replicated/enhanced by russian engineers since the Stalin time.

One example - the car known as LADA is in fact a FIAT126, taken apart, copied and reproduced in huge numbers. That doesn't mean they can't create a mechanical masterpieces - T34 is 100% russian, used to be a best tank in the world, AK47 and so on.

  • @drakesha ak47 looks like it was modeled after the stg 44

  • @AgrivatedKillah Apparently Shmeisser (not sure about the spelling) was invited to Russia right after the war, and did some work with mr Kalashnikov , improving design etc, but even if AK was inspired by STG (could be), it came out much better gun - lighter, tougher, simpler and much more "user friendly". You can clean it once a week, swim with it, roll it in sand/mud and it'll still fire. (trust me on this - I did 2 years running around with AK on my hump)

  • @drakesha Bullets will be obsolete soon if they ever get rail guns to work.

  • @AgrivatedKillah Rail guns still fire bullets. They just don't propel them with combusting explosives like gunpowder. Rail guns will not be soon though because it takes a massive amount of power to run one, even if they work out the other quirks and problems, they still need a portable power source light enough for each soldier to carry, capable of running a railgun, with enough power stored to fire hundreds of rounds.

  • @hzuiel Hmm

What do you think about the m16?

  • @AgrivatedKillah What about it? It's just a rifle that phased in around the vietnam war era and has mostly been phased out in favor of the m4. A lot of soldiers didn't like them and wanted their old rifles back but eventually they improved the design and they've proven to be a solid gun during their service life.

  • Excuse me, but I have no sense of how much things weigh. How many pounds of equipment is a soldier usually carrying on his/her own?

  • @Qwepir That depends on the mission. At times a soldier might have to carry as much as 100lbs/45kg of supplies and that's not counting their body armor. The Military wants to get as much weight as possible off the soldiers backs, and that's why they are funding projects like Alphadog, SMSS, and HULC. To get them off the roads because of IED's and to not fatigue them before the fight.

  • bet there is a Russian Alpha Dog being developed right now. looking suspiciously alike but running on diesel. :-)

  • @drakesha I don't think my liver could handle learning Russian lol. As far as I know the only countries that are making their own versions are Italy, South Korea, and China. But none of them are up to par with Littledog let alone Big or Alpha. I've heard nothing of Russia making their own. I think they'll be too busy salvaging their space program after what happened recently.

  • Cuervo....actually he does make a lot of sense. kremlin pays a lot to the bunch of teens to write stupid remarks on YouTube, so the rest of the world might think that everyone in Russia is a degenerate. clever policy, this. but if you see through this, you better start learning Russian soon. :-)

as to the Stone Age.... you too get your ideas from the media, right? sad. 'dude'

  • Can't wait to see its future bipedal successor stampeding like a bison towards a group of insurgents by 2014.

  • WOW, very good job. that's really really cool! that's what I call future. Put a gun on it and safe the lives of many soldiers!

  • That's really awesome! nice work.

  • Serious now

  • METALGEAR HORSE!

  • those rocks were like "bring it!" but this RoboDog doesn't give...

  • Metal gear!?

  • This is incredible and has a lot of uses, but for the military isn't it cheaper to just use mules?

  • @dunyafilm I have a feeling these would just be used in situations where a mule cant be deployed rather than as general use. I can think of a few types of terrain it wouldn't be able to drive.

  • @dunyafilm No way, Mules are animals, they have to eat, poop, and can get tired or ill. A mule can also be scared and start to panic on the battle field.

  • @dunyafilm

Mules aren't reliable when startled... and in war, it WILL be startled a lot

  • @dunyafilm Omg are you slow.

Someone just made a top comment on why mules/donkeys can't be used.

  • ROBOT ABUSE

  • @FoXfiVe Report to PETA! :D

  • I wasnt a believer before.

But robots are going to kill us.

  • That's not a dog. That'sw a horse!

  • What this robot lacks is confidence. Look at him just let those guys push him around. And when he hits the rocks.. It's like "OMG ROCKS!"

  • Comment removed

  • The only thing thats probably a big issue here is power supply. This thing probably wouldnt work for 10 minutes if powered by todays batteries.

  • @derbigpr500 It has already been proving to go much more than 10 minutes.

  • @derbigpr500 It doesn't run on batteries. The previous version used a gas powered generator, and could run for hours at a time. This version is probably going to use a similar and even more advanced system.

  • Comment removed

  • Did they say "Kill!" because it was trying to escape?!

  • @julietmikealpha ...they said kill because they meant kill the power source because it ran out of space to run..

  • isn't this the thing in battle: la

  • @dumbdumbeatsumdimsum Alpha dog came out BEFORE the battle of L.A

  • looks kinda creepy when it walks -_-......i dont wanna run in to it. specially at night LOL

  • Ослик делает то же самое и дешевле на 10 000 000$ / donkey is cheaper.

  • @digital4people Donkeys can get shot and blown up. Donkey's are not cheap since you still have to pay to feed them, house them, train them, tame them and keep them healthy. If the animal is spooked then they will run off with you're equipment, ammo, and food especially in a firefight. Not only that but you will have PETA breathing down your neck.

  • @digital4people typical Russian comment, that's why your country is in the stone age

  • @JasonInThailand @JasonInThailand @CuervoBlack06 watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lrHT_3cG_UI#! look at this and say USA donkeys is cool? USA do only stupid weapon for kill people aroud the world, Japan do heaplful eqipment for people. Yes my country in stone age, but i have all electronic (ipad2, htc desire and etc devices) and and I do not live in a police state in which the Governors of the Federal Reserve and facebook.

  • @digital4people Put the Vodka bottle down and come back when your sober (if ever) and are able to respond in proper English if you want people to take you seriously. Better yet, just use your native language!

  • @CuervoBlack06 воспользуюсь твоим советом. и пользуясь случаем хочу послать тебя нахуй. Тупой пиндос. С водкой и медведями из России. Не обижайся, у вас нация такая.

  • what the guy in the back holding th controls doing?>

  • @lxThaKiNgxl making sure the controls are properly working, derp.

  • Can you guys show us a video of big dog outside? [Internal power source] And running?

  • 1:07 dramatic stand up

  • So I can ride my Alpha Dog with my faithful Big Dog following. Where do I sign?

  • and wow I never realized how big alpha dog looks compared to big dog.
