I am from Brazil where there are lots of anacondas like that one. 3 years ago a man was disappeared on the the Pantanal, it's next the state where I live. The last person who saw him had said he was on the boat fishing, and then when sombody went there to call him to have lunch he was not there any longer.

One day later, they found an anaconda with its belly full and the format of its belly was suspicious, then they solved to kill the snake and open it. Guess what they found?! The man inside.

It's to teach people, and give them an opportunity to see an amazing animal that normally they wouldn't be able to. This is an extremely nice snake too, I have a lot of expierience working with animals and the biggest snake I've worked with was a 15-18ft Burmese python.

@keyow2 Jaguars have been known to hunt and kill anacondas. There's footage on youtube of one such event, actually. It's called "anaconda vs. jaguar a deadly fight!" or something like that, look it up. Zoos are fine, it's not like the animal even has the sentience to know the difference if it's been raised in captivity, or otherwise, but at least it's safe in a zoo.
