Saw this show in previews...I am shocked it didn't last. I thought it was funny, there are MANY solid and commendable songs and the cast was fantastic.  The plot was goofy but hell...it was a movie first. I'd see it again.

I have a theroy on why only Allison Janney was nomnated: Tony People want diversity in show noms. They knew the 9 to 5 girls were amazng. They also have a lot of awsome female performers like Sutton Foster. So they prob. decided to give one the nom instead of all 3 and they combinded their votes to get 9 to 5 the Tony for Best Leading Actress.

Fist off, all 3 girls are just AMAZING. But I think Allison truly deserved the Tony nomination. She was like blow your mind fantastic when I saw it. And she was super nice at the stage door. lol.

well wicked also got very mixed reviews when it came out the first time...also it wasn't nominated for that many Tony's and now look where it's at. That's how I see 9 to 5. It'll run for a long time...and I predict that shows like Next To Normal that were nominated for Tony Awards will probably close within a year or two...maybe less.

Unfortunately not quite true. yes wicked got mixed reviews, but it was nominated for 10 tony awards, including best musical which guaranteed it a performance slot on the tony show.also most people know and adore the wizard of oz story. though i love 9 to 5..its road ahead may be tougher.

I totally agree. This show has totally beaten out Wicked for me. XD It is now my second favorite musical EVER...first being The Pirate Queen which shall forever hold that spot. 9 to 5 is so amazing and I'm beyond thrilled I was able to see this 3 consecutive nights XD So looking forward to seeing it again when I go back to NYC this summer!!!

AHHH!!!! I know all the words to this song which may be sadder than commenting every video but it felt good lip syncing along whilst watching the show! what a talented cast I love every one of them! they are the Broadway stars worth meeting!
